We have finally painted the truck 🙈🙈

This weekend we competed at the Redwinch stampede.

We would like to start by saying a massive massive thank you to mark Adams and Jim Pike without these two we would not have made the event. We have lost some serious hours putting the truck back together after painting it.

We arrived on Friday a little later than we would have liked, both tired and a little less prepared than we should have been. We went out on the prologue making a good start however half way around the car started feeling a little sluggish after finishing the lap we found our high pressure fuel pump had lost power.

Saturday morning we were keen to get out and make a good start before the already hot weather got even hotter. However just as we had settled into things and got into a rhythm we found ourselves in deep s**t… literally. On boggiest tag of the lap something in our 24v charging system gave up so left us bogged. After a while we realised we weren’t going to get it fixed where we where so Rupert managed to winch us out and we managed to complete the lap without using our winches and we needed 10 punches to get our bonus points. In the pits mark Adams soon got to the bottom of the problem with the 24v. Sadly this cost us 2 hours… too much time to gain back but we weren’t giving up so we went out on a mission…seemed to lose the clutch on the 5 lap but mark managed to go full agriculture and drove it without one 🤯but still managed 6 laps until the last lap when Josh wasn’t himself… he was fully broken by the heat, we had been in such a rush he had forgotten to drink much water or eat anything so we decided not to go and get a last incomplete lap in the last 50 minutes (well Josh’s body decided that for us much to Marks frustration) so we got back to the pits and put a new slave and master cylinder and gave the truck a good look over before an early night. This had left us down at 7th on the leaderboard with some very good teams ahead of us.

Sunday we got out there and just settled right back into our old rhythm and the truck was faultless. We got 8 laps in and managed to climb up to 2nd just a little way behind the only reliable defender in the country 🫣

Massive thank you two the red winch team on putting on a brilliant event it was spot on 👌 and a massive thank you two chris lerwill and family with all there help and land over the weekend

The truck is ready for paint now 👌

Massive credit to Josh for the hard work finishing off the little bits on the cage.
It’s great to finally see it all coming together. Not long now! 💪🚛

The truck is coming together thanks to brown..

Brown spent Two weekends and a couple evenings of grinding and welding, many tweaks, fixing what I thought was “a small job” (it wasn’t 😂), and getting her paint ready.
