We conducted a survey in BR3,
We located two potentially redundant branch connections, unfortunately the access was upstream so we were unable to turn our cameras in to investigate.
The client opted for us to excavate to both lines and survey them directly.
We found an old broken open gully, with a rat burrow heading towards to the foundations of the extension and another line capped with a plastic bag.
Both lines were capped with multiple layers of galvanised steel mesh and finished with quick setting concrete.
The client had originally had another company in who recommended installing a new manhole downstream and then installing a valve!!
