I am now able to share these beauties as they have now been gifted 🎁🎄
Made for a customer whose furbaby sadly went over the rainbow bridge 🦮🌈
The first couple of photos show the pieces I cut out , 24 pieces for each - 3 dogs equals 72 pieces of fabric plus 72 pieces of interfacing - that’s a lot of cutting out ( and aching hands for me 😩)
I inserted some fur from my customers beloved pooch into each of the dogs as requested
Safety noses and eyes used

Pattern was from Craftyboots and was easy to follow
My customer was very pleased with the result

A customer had a footstool that was originally covered in leatherette. Age had caused the coloured finish to flake off exposing the fabric base making it look really shabby.
I removed the original cover and replaced with some heavy duty upholstery fabric
My customer was very pleased with the result which has given the footstool a new lease of life.
Should be grand for a few more years 😊

A customer wanted 3 pairs of curtains altering from eyelet top to curtain tape so that’s what he got 😃
Luckily he also wanted the length shortening which was great cos I’m good but I can’t magic extra fabric out of thin air😆

Tommy the memory bear has now been gifted so I am able to share photos of him 😍
Made from a beloved husband’s fleece jacket complete with paint splashes as requested by my customer.

I was recently commissioned by The Navy club on Barrow island to recover the seating in their main bar. This entailed recovering 16 long benches and 2 curved areas.
It took a while as I needed my hubby to help me dismantle the benches to remove the old fabric meaning we could only work after he’d finished his day job.
The club’s darts team home fixtures were also taken into consideration as we’d have hated to put them off their stride with the noise we made 🔨🪚
We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere in the club with lots of ‘banter’ from the regulars , some of whom had to be surgically removed from ‘their’ seats 😂
Whilst working we had many comments from customers saying how good the new seating looked and what a great job we had done.😀
I have posted a few before and after photos with the top two being before.
Overall we’re pretty chuffed with ourselves at completing to the customers satisfaction

I’ve been a little bit quiet on here recently following the birth of my beautiful granddaughter but this week I’ve been back in my sewing studio and ,boy ,does it feel good 😁
It certainly is my ‘happy place’ listening to rock music as I sew and chomp down on the contents of my sweet jar🤭

One of this weeks projects involved altering a bridesmaids dress at short notice for a young lady who had been let down by someone who had said they would do the alterations.
The dress required taking up at the hem and some adjustments to the front bodice and a discreet press stud sewing in to preserve her modesty.
Job completed in plenty of time and one happy customer who showed her appreciation with some lovely sunflowers that now brighten up my kitchen 🥰
