It’s not always about scrubbing harder… it’s about knowing what you’re dealing with! 🧼✨

This toilet had a significant build-up of hardened mineral deposits.

Understanding the type of staining is key to choosing the right cleaning method.

In this case, a wet pumice stone was carefully used to gradually remove the layers of mineral build-up, revealing the clean surface underneath. 🚽✨

The right knowledge, the right tools and attention to detail make all the difference! ❤️

A few before and afters from today's cleans 🧽✨

Some stubborn build-up in the bath and limescale and watermarks around the taps, but both came up beautifully!

One thing I find really interesting about cleaning is how much of a difference understanding the products you're using actually makes. Different types of build-up need different approaches, and knowing what works (and why!) can save a lot of unnecessary scrubbing.

It's not always about using the strongest product or putting in more elbow grease. Sometimes it's simply about using the right method for the job.

And this is where I get excited 😂🫧

Because not everything that looks dirty needs more scrubbing. Limescale is a mineral deposit, so understanding what you’re actually dealing with completely changes how you approach removing it.

It’s not about throwing everything under the kitchen sink at it — it’s about understanding the chemistry behind the clean. 🫧✨

There’s a reason I don’t use one product for everything… 🧪👀

A big part of cleaning is understanding what type of soil (dirt) you’re actually dealing with first.

Both of these results involved acidic chemistry — but for two completely different problems. One was mineral build-up/limescale, while the other was rust staining.

Same side of the pH scale… different soil, different treatment. 🧪

Then comes another bit that can make ALL the difference — dwell time. ⏱️ Giving the correct product time to work on the soil before agitation can completely change the result.

Sometimes the difference between a good result and a great one isn’t more elbow grease — it’s understanding what you’re looking at and how to treat it.

Identify the soil → choose the chemistry → allow dwell time → agitate → remove. ✨
