If you’d rather not have your little one overloaded with chocolate this Easter, you can still join in the fun of an Easter hunt 🐣

For the past few years, we’ve hidden empty plastic eggs or popped £1 coins inside instead. The real treat? A little toy shopping trip afterwards and just one chocolate treat at the end.

Or try something a bit different this year… a carrot hunt 🥕 Let the Easter Bunny hide his carrots instead!

Same excitement, less sugar—and just as magical ✨

As Easter approaches, please remember this! 🐣

As Easter approaches, please remember this! 🐣

Warning ‼️ 🐣 🐰

As Easter approaches and many of us are now starting to prepare, please be aware that mini eggs are the same size as your child’s airway! They come with a warning that they are unsuitable for children under 4 years! Smarties are also unsuitable for young children, as are other hard shell candies and Maltesers etc!

If you wish for your little one to join in with the Easter chocolate fun, a simple hollow chocolate egg shell broken up will be the safest option. 💖

I don’t post often on here. Word of mouth is good, life is busy and my social media skills aren’t the best. But know Mommas Help is still very much active - if you stumble across me, I’m here for you, don’t ever hesitate to reach out! 🥰

Is your child having a hard time giving up dummy’s or bottles?

Make the most of Easter why you still have time!

Spend this week telling them about the baby bunnies and how we can send their dummy’s or bottles to the Easter Bunny for the babies!

Buy or create an Easter card or draw / colour a picture, write a little message and pop it in a gift bag along with the dummy’s and bottles, hang it on the front door handle or the garden lawn, whatever makes sense to your family and await the exchange for Easter surprise in the morning.

Your child will sure love the thank you letter from the Easter Bunny for being so kind in helping the baby bunnies! If you like, you could exchange them for a small bunny related stuffed animal they can find comfort in.

And if you’re not at this stage yet, it doesn’t have to be for Easter. Use this idea for Christmas and the baby elves, the tooth fairy, whatever works for you! The distraction, excitement and exchange for choccy egg hunts or Christmas gifts makes the transition much smoother.

I’ve included photos of when I did this over Christmas when my son was younger and now I’ll be doing it this Easter with my daughter too. I found for me as a parent, having a cut off date helped me to mentally and emotionally prepare also! And what a lovely and special memory it made!! 💖

Remember to big up your child for the kind hearted gesture they’re making, make sure they know what good they’re doing and how they’re helping others and how grateful the bunnies are! 🥲🥰

As soon as your little one is asleep, bin them! Outside bin, no going back. Stay strong, stay positive, you’ve got this! ❤️

Good luck 🍀

Lots of love,
Rosie x

📣💖

📣 To all my Momma followers! This is by far the best thing I’ve ever done for keeping safe (& organised) all those special memories! Drawings, birthday & Christmas cards, Santa and tooth fairy letters.. & so many more 🤩💖

I first did this about 5 years ago not long after my firstborn. A simple storage box with filing sections for

▫️pre-birth
▫️post-birth
▫️first year
▫️age 1
▫️*continue with ages 2, 3 and 4 up until September
▫️reception
▫️*continue throughout the school years
▫️christening / holy communion etc
▫️medical
▫️banking or other important docs

We have a memories box too for bigger items that don’t fit in a file.

And yes, it’s very full already.. that’s because clear outs and organisation isn’t a ‘one and done’ thing.. sometimes it’s hard to let go at the time. As time progresses and we have new memories, we may not feel the need to save all 36+ sheets of pencil squiggles from when they were 1 😆

Re: Bath toys & cleaning maintenance!

Avoid bath sq**rters as they will become mouldy…and your child will most likely sq**rt that mouldy water into their face, eyes and mouth.

There are so many options out there that are mould free and come apart for easy cleaning. My 4yo loves fishing and hook a duck bath toys and is not missing out by having no mouldy water sq**rters!

After every bath, take a few minutes to shower off all the toys throughly and at least once a month give them a good wash in hot soapy water and sterilise them!

Involve your kids in the process to keep them occupied, young kids love helping with grown up jobs and it teaches them responsibility! 😃

Baby food jars are often sterilised with a food safe level of hydrogen peroxide. Although a very low level, it’s enough to flag up at airport security.. not the delay and stress you need- or the worry of finding something else your baby can eat during the travel as it will be confiscated! 🫠

If you’re flying, opt for pouches in your hand luggage instead.

If you do forget, pouches are sold at shops like boots when you’re on the other side of security 😊

You’re allowed to take boiled water for baby milk and ready made baby milk through security. And a click and collect pre-ordered with boots is always helpful for baby essentials 🙌

How to dress your baby for bed depending on the room temperature.

In this heat, keep windows open and curtains closed during the day when the sun is out, take advantage of your baby’s early rising to open windows, curtains and internal doors early morning before the sun rises.
