Some days this job doesn't feel like work at all.

Today I stood beside my client Camille as she signed for her Paris apartment, a dream 25 years in the making. She was speechless. Completely in shock. And if you know Australians, you know that almost never happens 😉. I wasn't far behind her.

Making Paris my own home never gets old. But making it my clients' home? That's the real magic. To sit in a notary's office and watch a 25-year dream become an address, there's no greater privilege in this work.

Welcome home, Camille. This city is lucky to have you. 🔑🇫🇷

10 habits you should steal from a Parisian 👇🏼💙🇫🇷

1. Walk everywhere.
The metro is fast, but the city only really reveals itself on foot. Parisians treat walking as transportation and entertainment.

2. Flâner.
There’s no real English word for it — to wander slowly, with no destination, just to watch the city go by. A book, a bench, a café terrace. Doing “nothing” on purpose.

3. Dress up, every day.
Athleisure, shorts, tank tops — not really a Parisian thing. Even a Tuesday errand run gets a summer dress or a proper hat. Not fancy. Just intentional.

4. Savour every meal.
Lunch break is sacred, not a desk snack. Dinner is an event, not a task. Food is never something you rush through on the way to something else.

5. Live outdoors.
Apartments are small, so Parisians made peace with it — parks, riverbanks, café terraces, and museums become the real living room.

6. Take public transport.
Traffic is brutal, so the Navigo card wins. Metro, bus, Vélib’ — hopping between them all in one trip is completely normal.

7. Have an after-work drink.
Not a whole night out — just 30 minutes with a colleague or a friend nearby, a small pause between work and home.

8. Take vacations seriously.
Three to five weeks, multiple generations, one rented summer house. Not a trip — a season of shared memory-building.

9. Keep up with your hobbies past childhood.
Violin, pottery, painting, tennis, ballet — adults sign up too. The classes are everywhere, and refreshingly affordable.

10. Shop for food almost daily.
No mega-cart, once-a-week supermarket run. Fresh, seasonal, market-bought — carried home in a little basket. It looks charming, but it’s really about eating better and wasting less.

Which one is your favorite? 💙🇫🇷

You know us as the team people trust with one of the biggest decisions of their lives: moving to Paris. 🇫🇷✨

But before the paperwork, the house searches and the settling-in support, we fell in love with the city ourselves.

The food. The wine. The architecture. The neighbourhoods. The culture. The long lunches, the local markets and the beauty hidden in everyday life. 💫

And at some point, we realised we were not just living in Paris. We were staying.

Start your Paris journey with people who understand what it means to arrive, settle in and truly make this city home.

3 mistakes Americans make when renting in Paris 👇🏼🇫🇷

1. Expecting an MLS.

There isn’t one. Listing on sites like SeLoger costs money, so plenty of apartments never make it there, and checking every individual agency’s website by hand is basically a full-time job. That’s exactly why hiring a house-search agent is worth it: someone whose job it is to see everything, not just what’s public.

2. Sending your dossier too early.

Yes, the market moves fast, and yes, you’ll hear you need to move faster. But your dossier is your passport, your tax records, your bank statements, some of the most sensitive data you own. Identity theft is a real risk, and knowing exactly who’s holding that data matters. Having someone manage and send it on your behalf gives you speed and peace of mind, not one or the other.

3. Skipping the agency fee.

It’s tempting; renting directly from an owner looks like an easy way to save. But it’s only a good idea for a very specific, very cautious kind of renter. Go direct and you’re exposed on several fronts: private landlords have no GDPR obligation, so your data protection is only as good as their word. The lease is usually drafted to protect the landlord, not you. And you’re on your own for the entire tenancy, including, often the hardest part, getting your deposit back when you move out.
A good agency protects your data, makes sure every contract is fully compliant, handles the landlord for you if something breaks, and acts as a neutral third party if the deposit turns into a dispute. It’s rarely the money-saver it looks like, it’s money well spent. 📁🇫🇷

POV: It’s a summer weekend, and you’re less than 30 minutes from Paris. ☀️🌿

Here’s your reminder that some of the most beautiful places await and to explore beyond the city of lights.

Take the time to explore its charming suburbs. Wander through local markets, discover peaceful lakes, stroll through beautiful parks, or simply enjoy a slower pace for the day. ✨

One of the greatest joys of living in Paris is knowing that you never have to travel far to recharge.

That’s one of the many reasons we love calling this region home. 💫

We hope you enjoy your weekend, whether you’re spending it with family, catching up with friends, or simply taking some well-deserved time for yourself. ✨
