🥵 With the current heatwave, lighting the woodburner is probably the last thing on anyone's mind!

But it won't be long before bags of wood pellets start appearing in the shops ready for autumn, often with some great offers on bulk purchases and pallet loads.

If you're planning to stock up early, here are a few tips to keep your pellets in the best condition:

✔️ Store them somewhere cool, dry and well ventilated.
✔️ Keep the bags off the floor on a pallet or shelf to protect them from damp.
✔️ Check bags for any tears or holes and seal them if needed.
✔️ If you transfer pellets into a storage bin, make sure it's clean and completely dry.
✔️ When filling your stove hopper, try to avoid pouring in the fine dust that settles at the bottom of the bag, as this can affect your stove's performance over time.

A little care now will help ensure your pellets stay in perfect condition and your stove runs efficiently when the cooler weather returns. 🔥
