Predictable development cycles with few late-stage changes
Scalable platform enabling multiple products and use cases
Strong linkage between R&D, real-world performance, and production
What Bad Looks Like
Hardware and software developed in silos
Unclear system ownership or conflicting technical decisions
Over-engineered solutions that fail in production
Frequent redesigns and late-stage changes
Weak linkage between R&D and real-world performance
Lack of ownership or slow decision-making

Key Interfaces
System Lead – system integration, validation, and performance
Head of Software – software delivery, architecture ex*****on
Engineering team – hardware and software ex*****on
Head of Industrialization – manufacturability, BOM, production readiness
Strategic Purchaser – supplier selection, cost, and technical trade-offs
Key Principles
One system, not separate components
System performance over local optimization
Real-world validation over theoretical performance
Clear ownership and fast decision-making
No release without full readiness
