Shubhkamna is a family business. Muniswamy’s father and grandfather both worked with flowers. “I learned other things, but I have more interest in flowers,” Muniswamy said. “With the flower business, I earn. I have a car, a home, a motorbike. And I’m helping the 10 people under me.”

With its potential for profits, the floriculture industry in India is on the rise, especially in the state of Karnataka and in Bangalore, the largest supplier and exporter of fresh cut flowers in India according to the Flower Auction Center, where farmers turn to floriculture for a steadier source of income. New greenhouse technologies give farmers more control over the climate and, therefore, the harvest. According to the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, 30,900 hectares of Karnataka land is cultivated for flowers, producing 220,000 tons of flowers per year.

Denmark is looking towards the future with hope and great decisions.
DSB is finally going to retire it's old fleet of diesel trains. With an investment of 11 billion Danish kroner, hopefully we will be able to enjoy this new trains after 2020.
Trains play a central part in Denmark’s future transport strategy.

The New Madrid Airport is a proposed airport construction project for the Spanish capital of Madrid. The proposed airport was initially planned as a requirement of Spain's bid to host the 2012 summer Olympic Games (which failed). The project was abandoned by the Madrid Government.

It was resurrected in Oct- 2018.

The construction would begin in 2020 and the airport would have capacity for seven million passengers and be operational by 2023.
The number of passengers will double from now till 2036 and Madrid reachs now the 54 million per year. Very close to it's limit, 70 million.
The good news are that
2000 million euros will be invested in this new phase and will create more than 5000 jobs.
The bad news are that more low cost companies will be located in Madrid's new airport. Not sure this is the best way to keep growing and expanding the capacity to travel.
Maybe we should focus on create less flights and invest more on fast trains for trips between cities that require less than 2 hours flight.

Metro of Hamburg carries more than 200 million people per year.
This area has one of the highest density population in Europe.
Traffic is a big issue in Germany and public transportation plays a big role in the cities.

The plan is to develop a radically different transportation landscape in which pedestrian, bicycle, private car, commercial and public transportation are woven into a connected network that saves time, conserves resources, lowers emissions and improves safety. The project aims to optimise the system in its entirety with the automobile being only one element of a broader transportation ecosystem.

Madrid is full of light! But not only during Christmas but during the whole year around.
It's citizens, it's parties, it's streets and buildings...
Yes, maybe it should be an example of how to light a city specially now during the . But should we focus on this or maybe on what we are going to do with Madrid, Spain and the Planet the rest of the year. Let's not loose the focus on the global actions. On the effort of the citizens and the companies to do the right thing.

After 20 years living in Madrid, I left this city because it smelt like car smoke. I moved out of this city because some politicians were against removing traffic from the city centre, but also citizens were complaining about it!
I left this city because using sun as an energy source was penalized by the law!
I left this city because the Minister of environment at that time, literally blocked us apart.

Today the same city is the center of the world, where "important" people discuss for a possible sustainable future.

Where politicians met and take pictures for the press and set their good intentions.

Today dozens of hashtags are being used to show up that we all have good intentions.

But let's make them real, let's move forward, let's forget about the past and create the future.

This picture from the "Bolsa de Madrid" shows that sun is shining for big companies but the shadows are being reflected on the citizens and the streets of Madrid.

The Blue Badge for Diesel Restriction Zones

In addition to traffic, inland navigation on the Rhine is responsible for most of the air pollution in Düsseldorf, which is why the effectiveness of a traffic restrictions area for diesel vehicles is being repeatedly questioned.

In Germany, the Blue Badge might be introduced in 2020. It is required to access diesel restriction zones.
Cities and communities will introduce driving restrictions for various EURO classes of diesel vehicles. Therefore, the Blue Badge becomes a need in order to distinguish older diesel vehicles and EURO classes as well as petrol vehicles without particle filter from vehicles with a lower emission of pollutants.

2- Operate the females to stop the extra reproduction.

3- Train the dogs to help the police.

This are some of the solutions that are being considered by Indian government and organizations like
to solve this growing problem in the country.

35 million stray dogs live in India.
India faces about 18,000 to 20,000 cases of rabies every year.
According to the WHO report an estimated 45 % of all deaths from rabies occur in South- East Asia out of which about 36 pc of the world’s deaths from rabies happen in India itself.
