As summer winds down and routines begin to settle, now is the perfect time to reset your home before the back-to-school season.

This month I’ll also be offering a limited number of extended evening appointments to help accommodate busy work schedules, sports, and all the end-of-summer busyness.

I’ve been sitting with this idea for a while now, and I think it’s finally time to share it. 🤍

When I started Home in Harmony, I thought I was starting a cleaning business.

But over the last several months, I’ve realized it has become so much more than that.

As someone who has lived through seasons where depression made even the simplest household tasks feel impossible, I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to look around your home and not know where to begin.

A clean home doesn’t fix everything.

But I truly believe it can create a little more peace.
A little more breathing room.
A little less weight to carry.

I also know that professional cleaning is a luxury, and it isn’t always something that fits into everyone’s budget.

That thought has been weighing on my heart.

So I’ve been wondering…

What if there was another way?

What if we could support one another by exchanging what we each do best?

If you own a small business or offer a service, I’d love to explore occasional service exchanges.

Maybe you’re a hairstylist.
A photographer.
A massage therapist.
A baker.
An esthetician.
A childcare provider.
A fitness instructor.

Or maybe your talent is something I haven’t even thought of yet.

Instead of exchanging money, we exchange our time, our skills, and the things we’re passionate about.

Because I don’t just believe everyone deserves a clean home…

I believe everyone deserves to feel at peace in their home.

This isn’t something I’m launching overnight, and I don’t have every detail figured out yet.

Right now, I’m simply sharing what’s been on my heart and wondering if this is something our community would be excited to see.

I have a client in the area looking to book a clean in July.

To help make the trip more cost-effective, I’m looking to see if there’s anyone else in the area who has been thinking about booking a clean as well. By scheduling homes on the same day, the travel cost can be shared between appointments.

We just bought our first home and for the first time in 10 years… I have a pantry 🥹
I didn’t realize how much joy a functional space like this could bring.

It also reminded me how overwhelming it can feel when things don’t have a place — I’ve been there too. But it’s amazing how different a space feels when everything finally works for you.

This is exactly why I love what I do — creating calm, organized spaces that make everyday life easier 💛
