Your artificial turf may have drainage holes, but that does not automatically mean the area will drain properly.

Water still needs somewhere to go.

A proper installation should consider the soil, grading, base preparation, rainfall, and how water will move away from the space. Without the right drainage plan, water can collect underneath the turf and contribute to pooling, odours, soft spots, or a slimy surface below.

The turf is only one part of the system. What is underneath matters just as much.

Before installation, ask:
● How will water drain through the turf, through the base, and away from the area?
● Good drainage starts below the surface.
