Spotted a this "subcontractor" on the job today! 🕷️🕸️
While this Cross Orbweaver spider is doing a fantastic job building webs, it's safe to say their web-spinning habits aren't exactly helping with the view.

We love seeing local wildlife while we're out servicing the neighborhood, but this isn't my favorite. And they're absolutely everywhere this time of the year.

In BC roof moss is a normal issue. But it can be dangerous for homeowners to deal with on their own.
For example, we were asked to help with this 12/12 pitch, 2 storey sloping to 3 storey house with no permanent roof anchors. We had to use 32' ladder with levelers for the uneven ground, a hooked ladder for the roof access, and temporary roof anchor with fall protection for safety while working on the roof. As we cleared mossy areas and accessed dormer areas, we were able to use pitch hoppers for stable footing. Even so it was a lot of hard work.

We were working close to the Fisherman's wharf in Sooke. The sea air and excessive pollen this year left it's mark on gutters and windows alike. It was satisfying to wash it away and make it look like new again.

Another roof moss removal in Lannon Creek Park on Blythwood. Great views of the Sooke Basin while we were working. The views of her roof and gutter guards weren't so nice to start. The mesh on the top of the gutter guards was growing moss and so clogged we had to remove and clean all the gutter guards as well as remove the moss from the roof.

Make sure you inspect and clean your gutter guards regularly. If you have trees close to your home, likely you will need at least a biannual cleaning. We'd be happy to help! Call us today.
