🎗️ WE’RE HIKING FOR CANCER! 🥾💛

This October, the Ottawa Valley Cleaners team is trading in our cleaning shoes for hiking boots and taking part in the Canadian Cancer Society’s Hike for Cancer!

Throughout the month of October, our team has challenged ourselves to collectively hike 50 KM, all while working toward our fundraising goal of $1,000! 💛

Cancer has impacted so many of us in one way or another, our families, friends, clients, coworkers and people throughout our community. We’re hiking for those currently fighting, those who have fought, the survivors, and those we carry with us in memory. 🎗️

We’ll be sharing our kilometres and progress throughout the month on Strava, our social media pages, and the Hike for Cancer Facebook group, so you can follow along as we work our way toward that 50 KM finish line!

And you don’t have to donate to help us. 💛

For the last 4 years, being recognized by the Canadian Choice Awards has been sitting on my vision board as one of those “maybe one day” goals.

And now, Ottawa Valley Cleaners has officially been nominated for the Canadian Choice Awards 2027. 🥹

We haven’t won anything. We haven’t even made it to the official voting stage yet but truthfully, just seeing our name in the nominations makes my heart incredibly full.

Building a business comes with a lot of long days, growing pains, lessons, risks, and moments where you wonder if all the work you're putting in is actually getting you somewhere.
And then something like this happens.
It’s a little reminder that those goals you write down year after year really can start turning into something.
I’m incredibly proud of what Ottawa Valley Cleaners has grown into, of the team behind it, and of the reputation we’ve built with the people who trust us in their homes every day.
Now we get to see how far we can take it. ❤️
