Happy summer everyone!

It's been a gorgeous summer so far and the kids and I have been enjoying getting out in the mornings before it gets too hot! With all the beautiful lakes, parks and trails here in the beautiful Okanagan, it makes it fun to pick an outdoor activity!

Having fun also means being prepared. Sun protection, healthy snacks and lots of water keeps us all happy and safe!

Summer is just around the corner!

I’m excited for more outdoor play with the warmer weather upon us. With the change of seasons, there is so much to explore & learn out in nature. I provide care for some very energetic, fun, & curious children and I can’t wait to plan some more adventures!

Hello!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Last week after school we went on an adventure. We took a beautiful drive in the sunshine and were so excited to discover another new park!

Not only was the park fun, but we got to enjoy the beautiful scenery while we played. We even spotted a few deer!

I hope everyone is settling nicely into their new fall routines.

Whether you have a new baby, young ones at home, older kids in school and activities, or a demanding career, it can be difficult to juggle all of life's demands.

Hello everyone,

As summer draws to a close, I have been reflecting on all of the fun memories made with the wonderful children I’ve been spending time with. I am grateful to be living in our beautiful lakeside city, full of fun activities and parks to be enjoyed throughout the year.

Last month, we discovered another new park!

After I dropped big sister off at grade 1, her little brother and I embarked on a mission to find a new playground. And we did! It was perfect for a 2 year old.

Upon walking around the park, we found a gate with stairs leading down to the lake where we enjoyed watching the ducks and the minnows splash around.

What a beautiful part of Canada we are living in. Discovering nature with curious and energetic children is one of my favourite activities.

We discovered a new park on our walk this week! The train was a huge hit and the big open field and lush grass was amazing. Plenty of room to run around and discover new things.

I had a great week with two little brothers, ages 2 and 4. We spent a lot of time exploring and learning about the wonders of spring. We could hear the baby birds chirping in their nests, and watched the Mamma bird leave and come back with food. We became curious about the airplanes and jets flying overhead, wondered where they were going, and why they leave a white trail behind them.

Hello!

My name is Rita, and I'm a passionate and experienced nanny servicing the Kelowna, BC area. I moved back to the Okanagan in 2019 after raising my family in Central Alberta. It's been so wonderful settling back into BC and returning to my roots.

I enjoy spending time outdoors all year round. Power walking is my main form of exercise, but I also enjoy nature hikes, swimming, tennis, baseball, and ice skating. I love driving around the Okanagan and discovering new walking trails and beaches, while making new connections with the wonderful people who call this place home. Most importantly - I love children of all ages and have a genuine interest in each and every child, their needs and interests, and am intrigued by how they view the world.
