MCBwoodworks Custom End-grain Cutting Boards Just contact us for more details. The varnish finish is longer lasting but is more complicated and time consuming to re-apply.

Most of our products are made to order, as such, most of our items can be modified in size, type of wood and finish to suit your needs. The board is finished with mineral oil but upon request can be finished with a food safe salad bowl varnish. Mineral oil is the preferred finish as it is simple to wipe on and requires only cleaning the board before re-applying. This end grain cutting board would

make a beautiful addition to your kitchen. End-grain boards look beautiful on your counter top. An end-grain board has a much harder surface which results in a greater tolerance for the chopping motion. This board will give a truly resistant cutting surface while being kind to the blade’s sharp edge. The old fashioned cutting boards were always end-grain design (the chopping block) to keep the knives much sharper. Instead of crushing against the wood fibers the blade goes between them much like cutting into a firm brush. You will find that your blade’s edge lasts much longer and you'll see no knife marks on the board.
