In the cleaning industry, pricing is often misunderstood, so I wanted to share a little insight into what goes into running a professional cleaning business and where your cleaning investment actually goes.
At Laundry & Cleaning Mate, we believe in being upfront and honest about our pricing because we want our clients to feel comfortable knowing they are paying for quality, reliability, and professional service.
Here’s a general look at how a cleaning service fee is typically distributed:
• 25% goes toward taxes and government deductions.Like any registered business, a portion of every booking must be set aside to keep the business operating legally and responsibly.
• 20% is reinvested into the company. This helps us grow, upgrade equipment, replace supplies, prepare for slower seasons and continue providing dependable service long term.
• 40% goes to labour and hands-on work.Cleaning is physically demanding and time-intensive work that requires attention to detail, consistency, and care. This portion covers fair compensation for the people doing the work.
• 15% covers operating expenses. This includes cleaning products, fuel, insurance, software, bookkeeping, equipment upkeep, licensing, advertising, and many other day-to-day business costs that happen behind the scenes.
When you hire a professional cleaning company, you’re supporting more than just a clean home. You’re supporting a local small business, hardworking people, and the systems required to provide reliable and consistent service.
We truly appreciate every client who trusts Laundry & Cleaning Mate with their home and supports our growing business. Thank you for being part of our journey💙
