We had a great week installing two TOLON washers. The only bad thing was our AC died in our install truck and we are in the middle of a heat wave. Plus we had to remove the AC unit from our hotel room to get the washer through. Now to wrap up the week with some local service. It’s my 31st birthday this weekend so after a long week I get to relax with my girls. They are 20 months and 3 weeks old so I use the word relax loosely. I will enjoy a glass of 15 year Scotch though. Have a great weekend everyone!

My son Jay doing a bearing job on a uw60, easily done with the aid of the high lift 30 year old Japanese pallet jack. These bearing jobs are a little tricky if not done exactly right and can be very expensive if done wrong. A lot of the machines out there have a extract speed of over 1000 rpm and reach g force of up to 400. You’ve got to do it right! The previous service co bowed out on this and stopped returning the customers calls for service. Jay is probably one of the only techs in western Canada who has done such a very wide range of bearing jobs from 20 lb to 600 lb machines. To put into perspective the 20 lb unit will weigh in at 500 physical lbs, and a 600 lb is well over 15,000 lbs in weight. This washer particular washer is rated at 60 lb wash capacity, weighs in at 1,500 lbs.

This a post from one of my sons Ryan.

Working in a family business can be a struggle sometimes. But it can also be a blessing. My wife and I just had our second baby while Jay and I had two installs sundenly come up that couldn’t be postponed. Luckily our nephew Trey was able to fill in for me during his summer break. I am truley thankful to have family support and work in a family business. Taking delivery of another full load of TOLON washers today. This load has 22 lb and up to 90 lb capacity washers. Our next sea can will have 130 lb TOLON washers and 130 lb TOLON dryers that’ll be arriving any day now. With our full load of TOLON dryers a few weeks ago we’re near fully stocked lol. JYL equipment is thankful and appreciates our partnership with TOLON USA.

Taking delivery of the first 40’ sea can full of stock dryers. We’ve already received two 40’ sea cans of washers. With our partnership with TOLON USA we’ll always have stock on new laundry equipment.

Another wooden floor installation. The TOLON has a very unique load balancing system which works extremely well even on a wooden floor. This job is 7 hours travel away from our shop. Being so far away they really needed to count on us to provide them with a highly reliable ,high end quality machine. Of course it had to be a TOLON. Coupled with a alliance laundry manufactured dryer. Everyone knows that alliance has built the best ,most reliable dyers to date. The Tolon is the only unit ever manufactured with a lifetime warranty on the drum shaft,bearing housing and back gable plate. We at JYL equipment also added our own 10 year bearing warranty. A 10 year bearing warranty on a 360 g force softmount! Another first and only in the industry.

My son Jay programming our first coin op Tolon 55lb washer. This is by far the strongest and heaviest coin op washer extractor we’ve ever seen. Here’s a couple older rebuilt dexter dryers going to a new home. This customer had a dryer fire and decided to replace both dryers as the other was already decommissioned. They wanted to purchase two new units but unfortunately the times aren’t favourable for the hospitality business. We deliver and install all of our own equipment. We buy the equipment , rebuild it ,deliver and install it all. We give a one year all parts warranty so the customers are comfortable that their getting good equipment. In the last 6 months we’ve sold more than double the rebuilt equipment than in any year prior.

Jay and Ryan heading to Fort McMurray to deliver and instal this trailer loaded with washers and dryers. To be installed into numerous apt buildings without an elevator. One location is one floor down and three up. In addition to all that they have to remove all the old units. They took this job on and no mention of the hard exhausting work waiting for them. You get out what you put in!
