Now that we’re in late fall, a lot of people are growing indoors, so we figured it was time for a refresher on autoflowering.
WHAT IS IT?
Autoflowering is a process of growing cannabis where the strains flower automatically under almost any light.
Autoflowers have faster growth cycles and are conveniently small for storing, so they’re popular amongst new growers.
HOW TO GROW
First, germinate the seeds. This process usually takes three days.
Once sprouted, move the seeds to your potting soil, and start feeding your nutrients.
To start of you’ll want to use ¼ the recommended dosage of week one in your feed schedule.
Once your plant develops finger leaves, increase to the week 1 dosage of nutrients.
From here it’s pretty straightforward: don’t overwater, maintain the temperature and make sure it gets some light.
Once 'hairy' sacs start to form on the nodes you’ll want to start lowering the humidity.
As the pistils turn from white to brown, examine the trichome heads to see if they are milky white. If so, you should be ready to harvest.
HOW TO PREVENT DEFICIENCIES
Monitor your pH. Ideally you want to be around 5.8 and 6.2.
Check the PPM of your water before mixing nutrients.
