We’re Hiring in Halifax

We’re currently hiring for two full time positions at our Halifax location and we’re ready to train the right people for success.

What We Offer
Union position
Competitive pay ($18.50 to $29.00 per hour based on experience and licensing)
Overtime after 8 hours daily
Most weekends off
Benefits including dental, health, and vision care
PPE provided and boot allowance once in union
On the job training
Occasional out of town work

What You’ll Be Doing
Sewer flushing using high pressure water systems
Hydro excavation which is safe non destructive digging around utilities
Pipe patching and trenchless relining
Operating specialized equipment and trucks
Working as part of a fast paced, safety focused team

Key Responsibilities
Safely operate vehicles and equipment with a Class 3 license
Perform daily job site setup, clean up, and hazard prevention
Handle tools, materials, and equipment across multiple sites
Follow all provincial health and safety standards

What We’re Looking For
Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license with a clean abstract
Construction or underground experience is an asset but not required
Willingness to travel up to 50 percent and work overtime when needed
Strong work ethic and team mindset

Today, we share some very difficult news with our MacVac family and community.

Our leader and dear friend, Rowan, has passed away.

Rowan was more than a part of MacVac , he was a true pioneer in the Maritimes and a respected leader within our industry. He was one of the first to bring advanced Video Inspection and Pipe Re-Lining to the region, helping shape the industry into what it is today. His passion for the work, his dedication to excellence, and his belief in doing things the right way left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege to work alongside him.

Rowan took great pride not only in the quality of his work, but in the team he helped build. He supported, mentored, and inspired those around him every day, and his influence will continue to be felt in the values and standards we carry forward.

Our entire team is deeply saddened by the loss of such a great man, mentor, and friend. He will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever a part of the MacVac family.

In honour of Rowan, donations may be made to the Coronary Care Unit at Saint John Regional Hospital or the Moncton SPCA.

Thank you, Rowan, for everything. Your legacy lives on in every job we do.
