Been a little quieter this week, just working through some stuff that’s been waiting for my attention.
Here’s a quick video of a fogging treatment in an empty unit with a severe fruit fly infestation.
This isn’t my usual approach for fruit flies. Most problems can be managed by removing whatever they’re breeding in and using traps to catch the remaining adults.
A handy little trick at home: put some apple c***r vinegar in a small cup with a drop or two of dish soap. The vinegar attracts them, and the soap breaks the surface tension so they sink instead of staying on the surface. You can also cover it with plastic wrap and poke a few small holes.
Just remember, traps help catch the flies, but finding and cleaning up the source is what stops them from coming back!
