Fire Magic is one of the most respected grill brands in the world. And they build their grills around infrared burner technology. The perforated stainless heat shields distribute that infrared heat evenly across the entire cooking surface.
When those shields and the burner panel behind them are packed with carbon and grease. Which is exactly what we found on this one, a few things happen.

And like every grill we open — it had a story to tell inside. Carbon buildup across the grates, grease coating the lid interior, the infrared Sear Station showing the evidence of a lot of good cooks and zero deep cleans.

A grill this good deserves better than that. And so does the food coming off it.

But honestly the part of this review that means the most to us isn’t the stars, it’s this:

One month in business. 🔥

We started Flashpoint BBQ with a lot of things on our minds  building something we were proud of, bringing real fire safety expertise to Airdrie backyards, and honoring a commitment that matters more to us than any of it.

5% of every clean goes to the Tim Jackson Memorial Scholarship Fund. Not a vague pledge. Not a rounded-up cent. 5%. Every clean. Every time. You’ll see it on your invoice.

After one month of operation we’ve already reached 20% of our Season 1 donation goal.

Tim Jackson was a volunteer firefighter, a father, a neighbour and a Scout leader who showed up for his community as a matter of character, not obligation. He passed away in 1997 at 42 after injuries sustained in a trench collapse. The scholarship in his name supports Airdrie high school students who demonstrate exactly the kind of citizenship and community service Tim lived by.

Every grill you let us clean moves that number. Every booking is a vote for something bigger than a clean BBQ.

To every single person who booked with us this month,  thank you. Genuinely. You didn’t just get a clean grill. You helped keep Tim’s memory alive in this community.
