One of the unexpected gifts of our work is where it takes us.

We help care for the places people come to relax, gather and enjoy time out. And sometimes, once the work is done, we get a quiet moment to enjoy them too.

Today it was a beautiful morning sun, a stunning view and a coffee in hand to simply pause and reflect.

Grateful for the work.
Grateful for the view.
Grateful for the trust people place in us.

After five.

We’ve spent the day doing what we do. Making things shine. Giving people peace of mind. Helping families walk through their front door and just… relax. Be present. Be together.

That part matters to us.

Now it’s time to clock off. And, we’re “splitting the G”

😀Back in my day… yes, I’ve said it. We all have.

There was this picture of how things were meant to look. Clean house. Clean kids. Dinner on the table. One parent working full-time, maybe the other juggling part-time and everything else. And somehow it all just… got done. Or at least that’s how it looked from the outside.

But if I’m honest, I remember the pressure too. The unspoken expectations. The feeling that if the house wasn’t right, somehow you weren’t right.🙃

Now I watch this generation of parents. Both working. Both tired. Both trying to be present. Trying to raise good humans in a world that moves fast and demands even more.

And I see the guilt.

😔The guilt of choosing a movie night over folding washing.
The guilt of sitting on the floor playing instead of scrubbing the bathroom.

But here’s what I’ve come to believe. Across every generation, what matters hasn’t really changed. Kids don’t remember shiny taps. They remember who showed up. Who listened. Who laughed with them.

So if there are dishes on the bench and cushions everywhere, but the house feels safe, warm, and full of love… that’s a win.🤩

That’s why we do what we do. Not for perfection. But to give families a little breathing room to choose what really counts.😍

We all need a reminder sometimes that the best moments are never planned. They just happen.

We were busy doing what we do, vacuums humming away…
except something is not quite right, I could hear the vacuum, loud and proud, but it wasn’t going anywhere. No movement
Just sound.

So just like a mothers instinct I go and investigate.
And there it is.

A full performance.
Vacuum in hand.
Playing air-vacuum to the radio like it’s a mic.

We had to stop. Proper stop. Laugh until our sides hurt. One of those moments that tells you everything you need to know: it’s time for a break.

Yes, we work hard. Yes, we show up and get the job done. But we also believe you’ve got to enjoy what you do, find the humour, and let those unexpected moments land.

Because if you’re too busy rushing through the day, you’ll miss the very moments that make it worth tour while

This one moment turned a normal workday into a great one. And honestly, we hope you’re finding (or noticing) those moments too.

✨ Sometimes the vacuum doesn’t move… and that’s the point.

Christmas has a way of reminding us what truly matters.
Not the rush. Not the long lists. Not the pressure to have everything perfect.
But the moments in between.✨

☕️The quiet coffee before the house wakes up.
🤣The laughter that fills a room.
⏸️The pause that lets you breathe again.

We see how hard people work all year. Families juggling schedules, caring for others, holding everything together while often putting themselves last. It’s easy to carry the weight of it all without realising how heavy it has become.

This season, and as we step into a new year, our wish remains simple.
☀️More space.
☀️More ease.
☀️More time for what truly matters.

If we have helped make even one day lighter this year, one moment calmer, or given you back time to spend with the people you love, then that’s something we are deeply grateful for.

As Christmas draws to a close and 2026 begins, may your home feel warm, your heart full, and the year ahead hold more balance, peace, and possibilities.

When you take things literally…

I said, “Hang on, wait until I get the keys.”
Nek minute… he’s actually hanging on.
Like this is perfectly normal behaviour.

This is what happens when your team takes instructions far too seriously
Or maybe he’s just testing the equipment to make sure it’s safe before we clean it.
Quality control, right?

Either way, the place got cleaned, the bars got wiped, and our resident “gym monkey” had the time of his life.

When you take a leap of faith and back who you really are, life has a funny way of showing you what you’re made of.💪

After more than 20 years doing “the thing I’d always done,” I had an epiphany one day, it was no longer aligning to my values. So I turned to what was already in my hands and decided to build a business from it. The surprising part isn’t the business itself… it’s what you discover about yourself along the way. 🧹🪠🧽

Today’s job looked like any other. Turn up, clean, prepare a beautiful home for its new family. Easy. Routine. No surprises.🤩

Then I get into the lift.
And kept going.
And going.
And going…
Twenty plus floors into the sky.

I step onto the balcony and suddenly I realise something new about myself:
I am absolutely, undeniably afraid of heights.😱

But the glass needed to be cleaned. So there I was, clinging on like a nervous koala, doing my best not to look down while convincing myself this is totally fine. The job must be done, and apparently so must my character building.👌✌️

Every day in business it will teach us something
about you
about your team,
about the world,
and sometimes about fears you didn’t even know you had.

Turns out courage shows up exactly when you need it, often with a spray bottle in hand.
