Instead, give yourself a week and tackle one area at a time.

📅 7 days out: Walk through the house and make your list.

🍳 6 days: Kitchen, including those greasy little spots you normally ignore.

🚿 5 days: Bathrooms and laundry.

🛋️ 4 days: Bedrooms and living areas.

🪟 3 days: Windows, doors and walls.

🌿 2 days: Outside areas, gardens, paths, garage and shed.

✨ 1 day: Final tidy, quick vacuum and those last little jobs.

You need:

💧 Warm water
🧽 A cloth or sponge
🧼 Something to cut through grease
💪 A little elbow grease
😬 And possibly the realisation that you should have cleaned this thing a LOT sooner...

Quick question... how many cleaning products are actually living in your cupboard? 👀

There's the bathroom one, the kitchen one, the glass one, the floor one, the shower one... and then that random bottle you bought because it promised to remove one very specific mark that you've probably forgotten about by now. 😂

Before you know it, you've got a cupboard full of half-used bottles and you're playing Tetris every time you need to get something out.

But sometimes, you can simplify things. Vinegar, bicarb soda and even essential oils can be useful for making some of your own cleaning solutions at home, which can help cut down on the number of products you buy, the plastic bottles you use and the waste left behind (Not to mention how much better it is for your health).

They won't replace every cleaning product for every job, but there are plenty of everyday cleaning jobs where simple ingredients can come in handy.

Your bathroom towels might be clean... but are they actually drying properly?

If your towels stay damp for ages, start smelling musty quickly or never seem to feel properly fresh, the problem might not be your washing. It could simply be how they're drying.

Give them a chance to properly dry out by spreading them over a towel rail rather than leaving them bunched up, giving them plenty of airflow and getting them outside in the sunshine when you can.

And please don't leave them scrunched up on the bathroom floor and expect miracles. 😂

Because yes, that towel that's been sitting there for three days probably isn't going to smell like a fresh load of laundry anytime soon.

There are some surfaces in your house that you clean... and then immediately become afraid to touch. 😂

- Freshly cleaned glass? Don't breathe near it.
- Freshly mopped floor? Suddenly everyone needs to walk through that exact spot.
- Freshly made bed? Nobody is allowed to sit down.
- Freshly cleaned kitchen bench? You better not put that coffee cup there.
