Cocktails? Sleep in? A day off?

Absolutely not.

Up at 4:30am, working by 5am 💪
After smashing through the entire Easter long weekend like a machine… because hustle doesn’t take a birthday break 💁‍♀️

I get another workday 😎

Another big week for Maid In Ipswich 💪✨

We serviced 16 homes – that’s 37 bedrooms, 28 bathrooms, 36 toilets, plus 2 offices, 2 medical centre, and a full kitchen deep clean 👏

Shoutout to me 👉Jaz who tackled that kitchen solo (was meant to be a team of two 😅). Meanwhile, my trusty sidekick (aka the hubby) had to “attend to other matters”… pretty sure that meant finding a quiet spot for a nap 🤣

Busy, challenging, but always getting it done 💙

Another busy week for the team at Maid In Ipswich! 🧽✨

This week we completed:
🛁 34 bathrooms
🛏️ 53 bedrooms
🏢 9 offices and medical rooms

We also worked on a bond clean for Wesley Mission today. Unfortunately we had to cut the job short due to a touch of heat stroke. With no air-conditioning in the upstairs townhouse and temperatures well over 40° inside, after nearly 5 hours we had to call it quits.

As much as we always aim to finish every job we start, health and safety must come first for our team. Working in extreme heat is no joke, and sometimes the safest decision is to step away and return when conditions are better.

A huge thank you to our hardworking team and understanding clients this week, as we have had to reschedule a few. We’ll also be working through the weekend to keep our commitment to our clients and get everyone looked after.

Today I’m proud to celebrate being a business owner, mum, and nanna while running Maid In Ipswich

Like many women, life is a juggle — family, work, responsibility and showing up every day for our community. I’m incredibly grateful to run a local business that supports Ipswich families and homes.

Here’s to all the hard-working women out there doing their best every day — whether you’re running a business, raising families, supporting others, or all of the above.

Some weeks test you… and this was definitely one of them 😅

To start it off, our amazing team member **Chan fractured her foot**, which made the week a little more “interesting” than planned.

Monday kicked off with a **bond clean for Wesley Mission**.
Team player Nelly powered through and still completed her 8 jobs for the week**, all while trying to mourn the loss of our/ her beloved dog. That takes strength 💛

The hubby has been useful again (😂) and jumped in to help me on a few jobs, including the Wesley Mission clean and today’s ** presale clean**… which was so big I’m not sure what will be harder tomorrow — the jobs or getting out of bed!

This week alone we tackled:
🧼 **27 bathrooms**
🏠 Countless bedrooms and offices
🏥 Medical centres
✨ And one bigger than anticipated after a big week - presale property

Running a small business isn’t always glamorous, but it’s built on teamwork, grit, and showing up no matter what.

And tomorrow… we do it all again.

It's with a heavy heart I write this. We celebrate the life of our beloved Blue (Boo Boo) who passed on to eternal rest last night 20-2-2026.
He just turned 11, born on 17-1-2015.
RIP Boo Boo
( Blue was our son an daughter-in-laws, but has lived with us since 2017, so he was )
Miss you already 🫂😘

Maid In Ipswich just turned 3, and I couldn’t be more grateful to my team, old and new for all our hard work. One thing I’m incredibly proud of is that 99% of our clients are returning customers — something that only happens through trust, consistency, and genuine care.

As the business owner, I always do my best to make sure communication is clear, expectations are understood, and respect is shown at all times — no matter what area of cleaning we’re doing. Every home and every client matters.

Thank you to our Ipswich community for supporting a local business and allowing us to be part of your homes over the past three years. Here’s to many more 🧽✨
