Before this installation, our client had a common challenge.

The corridor had great natural light and plenty of potential, but it needed the right planting design to soften the space, enhance the street appeal and ensure the plants would perform in a busy, high-traffic environment.

Our solution was a tailored planting design using premium indoor plants and our ribbed Cyclone planter range. Every plant was carefully selected for the available light, while the textured planters add depth, visual interest and a refined finish from every angle, whether viewed from the street, along the walkway or from adjoining corridors.

Following last week’s teaser reel, here’s a closer look at the completed project.

Tropical Plant Rentals recently completed the commercial indoor plant installation for Ausgrid’s new regional hub in Muswellbrook, NSW, continuing our long-standing partnership following the successful delivery of the indoor plant installation for Ausgrid’s 6 Star Green Star certified Newcastle workplace.

Designed to complement the building’s contemporary architecture, the planting scheme features integrated white Tambor planter boxes throughout the open-plan office. By utilising existing joinery, Tambor planter boxes introduce greenery without taking up valuable floor space, while creating natural privacy and defining workstations. Architectural ZZ Plants (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) complete the design, with natural river pebbles providing a refined finish that complements the timber detailing, white joinery and neutral interior palette.

The staff breakout area features Java and Cone collection planters in a contemporary concrete finish with a combination of Sansevierias and cascading Neon Pothos. The carefully selected planting softens the custom shelving, introduces texture and creates a more welcoming space for employees to connect, collaborate and recharge.

Thoughtfully designed workplace planting doesn’t just enhance the look of an office. It helps create environments where people feel more comfortable, connected and supported throughout the working day.

Most days, we’re on site designing, installing or maintaining the indoor planting. This time, we had the opportunity to simply sit back, enjoy the venue and experience it the way every guest does.

It was a great reminder that the best commercial planting doesn’t compete with great design. It works alongside it, adding warmth, defining spaces and enhancing the overall experience in ways people don’t always notice, but instinctively feel.

Completed for Mosman Council this multi-site installation spanned four locations, bringing together workplaces and community spaces under one cohesive planting design. From statement Fiddle Leaf Figs, elegant Kentia and Rhapis Palms to colourful tabletop arrangements and living wall planters, every installation was carefully selected to suit its environment while creating a consistent look across all four locations. Contemporary planters and natural coconut fibre completed each display, adding warmth, texture and a connection to nature.

Behind every stunning green wall is a whole lot of preparation and an incredible team of plant specialists. 🌿👷🏼‍♀️👷‍♂️

This is where the transformation begins.

Our team preparing for one of our largest commercial green wall installations at Sanitarium Health Food Company, Berkeley Vale.

Over 1,200 living plants were carefully prepared before installation, with every panel designed to create a vertical garden that would become a striking feature of the workplace. From unloading trucks and organising plants to coordinating logistics, every detail is carefully planned to ensure a safe and seamless installation long before the first panel is installed.

The finished green wall features a carefully selected mix of Peperomia, Epipremnum, Philodendron, Asplenium, Nephrolepis, Spathiphyllum and Scindapsus, creating a vibrant, textured living wall designed to flourish with ongoing professional maintenance.
