MUST READ! DO YOU OWN A RED or BLACK CAR????

Did you know red and black are the two colours that are most prone to UV damage?

Sun damage is one of the most common car de-valuator. If left unattended, UV damage will cause further deterioration of the paint causing clear coat peeling. In the end, you're left with no choice but to send it to the panel shops to fix it (which can set you back $600-$1000 per panel).

RESELLING WTIH BAD PAINT!
When your paint is damaged, the value of your car will decrease by $1,000 - $6,000 depending on the level of damage and type of car.

How to know if your car has early signs of sun damage?
- The colour of your car is faded.
- The colour of the paint on your panel seems to be inconsistent (some parts are lighter, some darker).
- When you wash your car, does it never seem to wipe dry even when using an extra absorbent towel?

If you answer yes to any of these, you have sun damage but good news: You can still do something about it without a panel visit.

🔴 Ceramic coating facts ❗️❗️❗️

If you have a car that's a little older and has been well taken care of, you can bet ceramic coating will bring out the best in the existing paint. This Volvo came in from a fellow car enthusiast and they've taken steps to look after it over the years (gentle hand wash, no shortcuts) that even when the paint came in a bit worn with age, the ceramic coating uplifts the underlying colours of the paint.

People come in from all backgrounds with many ideas of ceramic coating. Here's some facts to provide clarity:

🔴 Ceramic coating can to a certain extent fix scratches but only light scratches that are lesser than 2 microns depth. It cannot fix scratches that are of different colours (that requires paint correction) as ceramic coating enhances colours that are underlying.
🔴 Ceramic coating is not maintenance-free but it makes it easier to maintain the coating and paint. Wash your car regularly to prevent damages to the coating which may even permeate the paint.
🔴 Ceramic coating does not make your car waterspot free. Heavy mineralised water will leave stains on the car which permeates the coating and paint. If its strong enough to damage your paint, it will be strong enough to damage the coating.

⚠️ NEW CAR MISCONCEPTIONS ❗️⚠️

"My car is brand new there is not a single scratch on it"
❌ NO! Brand new cars are transported via ship, train, and handled by so many hands before it reaches the dealership. Some even pass a few quick car washes which can leave large swirls on the car. Often, dealerships are trying to cover the mishandling through buffing or bluffing. It is our job to point out the imperfections so you can address these with them or opt to undertake corrective measures under us.

"It should be quick, its new."
❌ NO! REAL Ceramic coating is applied on using a sponge applicator and suede cloth. The process is akin to painting with a small section at a time. WHY small sections? Because we need to ensure it is buffed out before it cures onto the paint (which in summer is FAST). After this, we examine the paint in various lighting conditions in order to ensure nothing is missed out. No quickness in perfection.

"You don't have to do much for it."
❌ NO! As we mentioned: the car undergoes: salt water, railing dust, gets driven around on the lot, parked outside in harsh conditions (sometimes with deep embedded water stains already), and more. When we get it, we have to assess the paint and determine what are the best courses of action in order to deliver a crystal clear result.

Deep interior cleaning from a very used work van. This work horse came to us with baked in paint, dried coffee spills, wetsand that's been dried and left to crust up, baked in paper receipts etc.

Job included: lots of scrubbing with detailer grade chemicals, controlled pressure water and extraction, paint scrapper and hammer.

Even after the after photos have been taken, we spent another 3 hours to wipedown edges for this presale detail.

Van came out really clean, smelled good, and ready to sell

We car stare at these reflections for days! Here's a black Cherokee hemi 3 months after coating. Post-wash, the bead and gloss levels are insane!

WARNING! Massive whinge post ahead.

It hurts our eyes when you bring in a white car for coating! Even our camera is blinded with white cars! Please do not bring in your white cars unless you want eye-hurting high levels of gloss that stays there for 3 years. This is their third car sent and we're sensing a theme here...

On the positive side, at least his paint is now protected from the elements with our summer coating protection. Well I guess you can't win them all. If you too want to get blinded silly with your car's paint, give us a buzz and we'll set you up. Disclaimer: We won't be responsible for your diminishing eyesight staring at your car's paint.
