Sometimes the moments we don’t expect to see mean the most 🥰

I’m so used to being behind the camera capturing the dogs, their personalities and the beautiful little moments they share… I never really see what it looks like from the outside 🐕

One of my lovely owners filmed us walking off together with the border collie pack, and seeing that bond and trust through someone else’s eyes is really special. So grateful for these dogs and the people behind them 🐾

It’s all in the timing ✨

This one came together in a way you can’t really plan 🐕

Working with dogs, you don’t get perfect setups, you get moments. Light shifting in and out, clouds rolling through, a bit of sun breaking through… sometimes even a sprinkle mid-walk. The conditions are always changing, and you just learn to work with what you’re given ☺️

That’s something I’ve carried with me through over ten years of photography being given the chance to capture everything from still subjects to fast-moving moments at events and weddings, to portraits filled with connection. Over time, it’s shaped the way I see things… always looking for those small windows where everything just falls into place 📸

And honestly, the most special subjects I’ve been given are the dogs I get to see week after week. There’s something about capturing them as they are reading their behaviour, their energy, and letting the moment unfold naturally that makes it all the more meaningful ❤️

For years, I’ve been walking, training, and photographing dogs, and I’m so grateful to give these moments back to their owners. Knowing they’ll always have something real to hold onto means everything 🥰

The cartoon version just brings out what was already there that little bit of magic in a fleeting moment ✨
