Big pre-inspection clean-up on this unit renovation 💪🌿

With the builders busy inside, the yard had gotten a bit out of hand — so we were brought in to whip everything back into shape before the final builder walkthrough.

Removed as much rubbish and construction material from the area as possible, whipped the majority of the thick growth down, shoveled and cleared the path areas, and finally strimmed and mowed the 'lawns'.

We ended up removing 3 fully loaded 5×8 trailer loads of green waste to get the space looking presentable again and ready for the next stage of the reno!

Massive difference in a short amount of time and another site inspection-ready. ✅

When things finally slowed down over the Christmas / New Year break (briefly), I got the rare chance to turn my attention to our own yard. 🥳

Spent some quality time with my amazing wife building a new garden bed, and I couldn’t have done it without her creative input (or her patience!).

Nice to enjoy the tools without the clock ticking and actually sit back and enjoy the result for a change. 🌿❤️

Probably should've waited for the week of 40+ degree weather to pass before we filled it with fresh flowers however...

All this yard needs is some water, and regular maintenance to bring it back to its former glory.

YUCK! I mean, maybe these Yukka's looked neat once upon a time..

We removed 5 overgrown yuccas that had completely taken over the garden bed (no easy feat, there were some challenges along the way), opening the space up and giving the area room to breathe again.

While we were there, we replaced the fence kickboards and finished it off with a fresh coat of paint, bringing the fence back to life and tying the whole space together.

Big transformation with a simple, tidy finish — and a much cleaner garden bed ready to be re-imagined.

The boys evicted a few gutter snakes over the weekend (suspected long term squatters).

These gutters are now squeaky clean and free flowing for many rains to come. 🌧️

I never would've expected there to be an entire bricked drive under all this grass.. 🌱

I needed a new trailer for our S**g zero turn, so I decided to challenge myself (and my very amateur welding skills) and custom-build a trailer from the ground up. It’s been a big project, but a rewarding one, and it’s already proving to be a perfect fit for the job.
