This photo’s from a Secret Harbour customer today — and yep, that’s not dirt you’re seeing under those solar panels… that’s pigeon paradise.
By the time I got there, the roof was covered in mess, the panels were caked in droppings, and the gutters were full of what can only be described as “pigeon soup.” 🤢
Now, instead of just fitting mesh as a simple preventative fix, the poor customer has had to pay hundreds for a general clean.
And because the gutters are now clogged with the same muck — that’s hundreds more for a gutter cleaning contractor.
Here’s the kicker:
Even after all that, the space under the panels can’t be fully cleaned without stripping the entire solar system off and reinstalling it again.
The roof and panels are now left with permanent damage — all thanks to a few uninvited feathered tenants.
Secret Harbour’s pigeon problem is getting worse by the week. I’m now fitting bird mesh on homes daily, and every time I do — the pigeons just move next door looking for the next vacancy.
