There aren't many appropriate photos to share from the work we do, and that's exactly as it should be. So today, you get a photo of me instead.
Over the last few days I've had the privilege of helping a family after the loss of a loved one.
People often assume biohazard remediation is simply about PPE, chemicals and cleaning. Those things are important, but they're only part of the job.
For me, it's also about slowing down long enough to find the family photos tucked away in a drawer, the jewellery hidden among belongings, or the keepsakes that could easily be missed in the middle of a difficult situation.
It's about treating someone's home, and their memories, with the same care and respect you'd hope your own family would receive.
It's also about making sure the property is genuinely safe again. That means investigating where contamination has travelled, following the evidence, and removing only what needs to be removed. We don't guess. We don't take shortcuts. We restore homes so families can begin moving forward with confidence.
That's what makes Mackay Biohazard Cleaning different.
People first. Situation second.
Because while we restore properties, we're also helping people through one of the hardest days of their lives.
