Such a bittersweet moment for our community 💔✨
Ren from Bling Bling Costumes is closing her doors after being such a big part of so many of our lives. From childhood dress-ups to last-minute costume saves, she’s brought so much joy, creativity, and fun to our town over the years.
As a community, let’s rally behind her and give her the send-off she truly deserves. If you’ve ever thought about grabbing a costume (or ten!), now is the time, there are so many amazing pieces to choose from.
Let’s show our support, share some love, and celebrate everything she’s given to us all ❤️

With a heavy heart, I'm saying goodbye to the little shop that survived cyclones, cancer, COVID and 22 years of memories — a shop that was only possible because this community held me up every step of the way.

After almost 22 years in the Sands Arcade, it breaks my heart to share that Bling Bling Costumes will be closing down.

A new owner has purchased the building and the rent has been increased to a level I simply cannot sustain. After two decades of pouring my life into this little shop, I don't have another location to move to. This truly is the end of an era.

Bling Bling Costumes has stood through so much with this community - cyclone Marcia, the GFC, COVID, brain surgery, and lung cancer (for which I am still undergoing treatment); and every challenge in between. Through all of it, you kept walking through my doors. You kept me going. You kept this tiny, sparkly corner of Yeppoon alive.

Now, as I prepare to close, all stock must go. Every item is reduced, and I would love nothing more than to see familiar faces come in, pick up some treasures, and help me clear the shelves.

Lest we forget. 🌺
Today we pause to honour and remember the courage, sacrifice, and spirit of all those who have served and continue to serve.
We are so incredibly lucky to call this country home, and it’s because of the bravery and sacrifice of our soldiers that we have the life we do today, let's keep Australia great. It’s a reminder to feel grateful for the freedoms, safety, and opportunities we often take for granted.
After a huge week, we’ll be taking the weekend to rest and reset. Our business will reopen Monday, and I’ll be getting back to all enquiries then.
Thank you so much for your patience and ongoing support, it truly means the world.

As we head into the Easter long weekend, I just wanted to take a moment to say how important quality family time truly is. Life gets busy, and these little pockets of time to slow down, reconnect, and make memories with our loved ones are so special.

This is also a super busy time of year for bookings, and I truly appreciate each and every one of you!. Your support means more than you know 💕

Good morning folks. Well, the rain has cleared overnight, the sun is trying to shine, and the birds are singing. I will be back on deck tomorrow. The yards are still way too wet for me; they need a day to dry out. Yes, some, no doubt, will be out cutting grass; to them, it's about the money, not the quality of their work.
