The speaker at our meeting this morning was Vanessa Glowaski of Zapem Pest Management.

Vanessa spoke about what they do in the commercial space. Zapem do residential and commercial however today she explained the commercial service offering.

They include:

- Restaurants and cafes - to ensure they are hygienic, safety compliant and ensure protection of equipment

- Allied Health Services - such as dentists, physio, medical centres etc. Pests do carry germs and you want these clinics to be highly hygenic.

- Specialty Food Premises - such as butchers and food preparation - this is a special service that not all pest control companies provide. Once again this is for protention of equipment and to ensure they are hygenic

- Apartment Buildings including heritage buildings - services include vermin & rodent control plus termite protection. The heritage buildings require a special level of service to ensure you are not changing the heritage status when working on those buildings.

Things to consider with a commercial bjuilding :

- is the property hygienic? This is very important.
- occupant and tenant complain if there are pests on the premises
- cockroaches, spiders, ants, rodents LOVE commercial premises

Zapem can work around tenants, landlords and building management to service the building/premises at a time that suits all parties.
