Decorative Fleck – The Popular Finishing Touch That Isn’t Always Necessary..
Decorative fleck on your new coating is a great way to add extra character and depth to this restoration upgrade. By combining carefully selected fleck colours with the main base colour, we can create anything from a very subtle, natural finish through to a more obvious decorative statement. Fleck can also help visually soften the surface and disguise minor marks, dirt and everyday wear.
The amount of fleck makes a huge difference to the overall appearance. Applying small, sporadic fleck throughout can provide just enough contrast to break up a solid colour while keeping the finish modern and classy. Multiple fleck colours can also be chosen to complement existing features of the home such as the roof, brickwork, render, gutters and landscaping.
Although decorative fleck is extremely popular among our clients, doesn’t mean it’s always necessary. In some homes, a clean solid-colour coating can actually complement the property better, particularly with today’s modern / minimalist designer homes. The goal should not always be adding more decoration as every property is different and this is why we recommend choosing the finish that best complements your home’s existing overall style..

Textured base coats on this project were applied in our most popular colour scheme - ‘Monument’ w~ a custom fleck mix in ‘Ebony’ & ‘Cream’ to further compliment the home’s existing exterior features..
We would like to also take this quick opportunity to give another big shout out to today’s clients for the consistent positive attitude, the delicious coffees & snacks, but most importantly for their ongoing understanding and patience with us during our longer than usual winter wait times..
We currently have a full diary of jobs booked in which is great for our team but in saying that, the relentless wet weather conditions we’ve faced recently has us constantly on the back foot and resulted in multiple shuffling & rescheduling of booked jobs..
We always do our best to try and accommodate everyone but unfortunately this winter in particular has been very challenging for us to navigate. So once again, we’d just like to give another big thank you to all of our clients currently waiting patiently, and we look forward to getting stuck in again as soon as weather conditions stabilise..
Back on site again here tomorrow morning for some additional OCD touch up’s, another clear mist coat & the removal of our wall tape etc..
