We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our growing civil construction team, specialising in water and sewer infrastructure projects.

You will be responsible for operating excavators on water and sewer installation projects, including trenching, pipe laying support and backfilling. The role requires accuracy around live services and the ability to work closely with pipe layers and ground crews.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently (5T–48T machines)
• Excavation for water mains, sewer mains, stormwater and associated infrastructure
• Working around live underground services
• Backfilling and trimming
• Perform excavation to required line, level, depth, and alignment as directed
• Work closely with pipe layers to achieve correct trench dimensions and tolerances
• Assist with installation of Civil Utilities including but not limited to Water mains, Sewer mains, Stormwater pipelines, Pits, manholes and chambers
• Maintain trench profiles suitable for shoring, shielding, or battering systems
• Conducting daily pre-starts and basic machine maintenance
• Reading and understanding plans
• Maintaining site safety and complying with SWMS and project requirements

Requirements:

• A valid SOA & VOC for Excavator
• White Card (Construction Induction Card)
• Experience in civil water and sewer construction
• Competent in trenching to grade and working to levels
• Understanding of underground service locations and safe excavation practices
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Strong commitment to safety

Calling all experienced Estimators - We're Hiring!

With a range of works in our portfolio, we are seeking a self-motivated, experienced Estimator with extensive Sydney Water knowledge to undertake a lead role in tender and quote preparation and submissions. In this role you will be a vital part of the estimating division. You will work closely with the Senior Management, Site Managers, preparing quotations and documents in response to tender requests, liaising with clients and water service coordinators and coordinating/assisting with project handover to operations team.

Roles and Responsibilities include:
• Preparing estimates based on provided tender drawings
• Attending tender briefings as required
• Obtain and negotiate competitive quotations from suppliers and contractors
• Present and discuss costings with General Manager
• Post tender negotiations and contract review
• Assist in developing a of programme of works
• Client coordination and liaison
• Updating and changes to design during tender stage and impact to tender price
• Broad understanding of WHS requirements and compliance
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
• Relevant civil engineering qualifications
• Extensive knowledge of Sydney Water Codes and Standards
• Project Management skills and sound knowledge of water/waste water industry
• Experience in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, MS Project as a minimum)
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with field staff, client representatives, subcontractor representatives and other external stakeholders.
• Proven experience in meeting timeframes and achieving task outcomes
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills and the ability to relate to a wide range of people at all levels
• Identify cost risks and opportunities with various tender submissions, leading the tender, offer & quotation creation and submission process

We are seeking experienced Pipe Layers to join our civil construction, team delivering water and sewer infrastructure projects for upcoming projects based around Southwest & Northwest Sydney.

Key Responsibilities:
• Installation of water and sewer pipelines
• Trench preparation
• Reading and interpreting plans, levels and specifications
• Working safely around existing underground services
• Assisting with backfilling and compaction
• Operating small plant and tools where required
• Maintaining a high standard of safety, quality and housekeeping
• Working effectively as part of a construction crew

Essential Requirements:
• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Valid driver’s licence
• Demonstrated experience as a Pipe Layer on civil water and sewer projects
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings
• Strong knowledge of trench safety and safe work practices
• Strong work ethic and reliability
