⚡️Have you ever seen a tree that has been struck by lightening? ⚡️

6 months ago Steve our team pruned this beautiful, massive Spotted Gum tree in Adamstown Hts. Last week we got a call from our customer saying that the tree was declining and requesting that our senior arborist Steve come and have a look at it.

As you can see from the images the tree looks very different. You can see the burnt electrical patterns in the trunk of the tree and the entry and exit wounds of the lightening. Fascinating to see but devastating for the health of the tree as the lightening boils the sap inside the cambium layer, killing the cells and thus stopping the transfer of nutrients throughout the tree that creates growth, vigour and stability.

There is some regrowth but the tree will never be the same.
