This could be your chimney flue - some symptoms may include difficulty starting your fire, not staying alight, smoke coming back inside your home and/or soot/creosote falling down inside the chimney. This can also be dangerous! Get your chimney swept now before winter.

Installations often require significant work inside and outside the roof to accommodate the new chimney. Sometimes difficult but not impossible as the photos show.

Have you cleaned your chimney within the last couple years, are you experiencing problems with fire not starting or staying alight, could your chimney be blocked with soot/creosote or a bird nest like in these photos. This was taken from a combustion fire flue which was totally blocked with a large bird 🦅 nest. This is both dangerous and will prevent the fire from working.
