School holidays are beautiful. They're also a recipe for burnout. 🔥
The kids are home. The work didn't stop. The mental load just keeps stacking.
No white space. No recovery time. Everything urgent. All at once.
This is exactly when burnout creeps in.
There is a simple practice we use with our clients when the juggle gets overwhelming, balls get dropped and the mental noise gets loud. It's our adaptation of Brian Tracy's ABCDE method.
A — Must do. Real consequences if it doesn't happen.
B — Should do. Important, not urgent.
C — Nice to do. No real fallout either way.
D — Delegate it. Not yours to carry.
E — Eliminate it. Chuck it. Gone.
That last one is where the relief lives.
You don't need more discipline. You just need permission to put a few things down.
