1. What's your job title here at NPS?
👉 Fully Qualified Pest Technician with Certificate III in Urban Pest Management

2. When did you join the team?
👉 I started my journey with NPS 2 years ago

3. What’s the most unusual or memorable job you’ve handled since working with NPS?
👉 There's a couple. Probably a new commercial kitchen client with the rats running in front of me taunting me and coming up with a solution to solve that problem for them and then eradicating all the german cockroaches for them also.

4. What do you enjoy most about helping customers?
👉 Finding their problem and solving it, then when I have a follow-up treatment 12 months later - How happy they were with the previous treatment I did.

5. What’s something people are often surprised to learn about your role?
👉 How much attention to detail we do compared to other companies.

6. What’s your go-to advice for preventing pest problems?
👉 Finding the conducive conditions and explaining to the customers - What they are and why they are a problem and giving them advice on how to prevent further pest issues.

7. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
👉 Shooting, fishing, spending time with my daughter and partner

8. What do you like most about working with your team?
👉 When we are all on a site together we all banter with each other which I feel makes a good camaraderie with your fellow work mates and makes the day fun.

Moreton Bay is one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions, with its population forecast to rise from roughly 479,639 to over 690,000 by 2041, necessitating 88,300 new dwellings along this growth corridor.

BUT - there's an underlying issue that's literally subterranean. Happening under our feet, in our backyards and under our homes.

We're predicting these rodent plagues will only get worse...

and with the recent Rodenticide regulatory changes restricting the use of Second-Generation Anticoagulant Rodenticides (SGARs), it's an issue that may impact everyone.

While “These changes represent a positive step forward for both environmental protection and the long-term integrity of our industry,” ~ Stewart Paterson, Director National Pest Solutions - the general public do need to take responsibility and employ an accredited pest professional to implement critical rodent management plan for their home or business.

..and a story we hear often.

"We first engaged another pest termite eradication company but were extremely disappointed when we found other nests under our house that were very obvious.

We then engaged NPS and right from the start they were meticulous. They shared far more information in general about termites and then laid out the course of action for us to study. We thought we were safe with the original plan which in hindsight, we realise was just a one or two step plan.

But Stewart from NPS outlined a 5 step plan that concluded in every stump, every concrete line being surrounded by treated trenches so that termites couldn’t wriggle their way back up into our house. We are now termite free and 'step' 6 in operation to ensure our house is monitored and kept termite free. We will never choose another company again rather than NPS. By the way we are not related to anyone in the company but have provided this reference willingly." ~ John Robertson
