Got a call yesterday about termites in a barn… but after a thorough inspection, the situation turned out to be far worse than expected.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen an infestation to this extent. These Coptotermes had attacked every single post in two barns, as well as multiple areas beneath the main house. In total, 186 posts require treatment.
Unfortunately, jobs of this size are never cheap, especially when you factor in the cost of repairs. We sat down with the client, worked through the options together, and did everything we could to come up with the best possible treatment plan and pricing.

A thorough inspection uncovered multiple hidden cockroach harbourage areas the homeowner had no idea existed!
Cockroaches love nesting anywhere that’s warm, dark, and undisturbed. Indoor pot plants with organic potting mix are a common hiding spot, but they also regularly nest inside appliances, behind electronics, and even amongst books and stored items.
This is exactly why we always recommend a thorough inspection before treatment. Finding the source of the infestation allows us to target the problem properly, rather than just spraying and hoping it works.
If you’re seeing cockroaches around your home, chances are there are many more hiding out of sight. 🪳

10m away from the house with a large coptotermes nest in the base. The owner was advised to call an arborist to inspect the tree for safety.
