The families who call us aren’t looking for a cleaner.

They’re calling because something has happened that no one prepares for.

In that moment, they need someone they can trust to step in and take control of what comes next.

That’s where we come in.

Every job is handled with professionalism, care, and respect, not just for the space, but for the people behind it.

When we leave, the goal isn’t just a restored property.

It’s that you feel supported, and that one part of this situation has been handled properly.

Gabby completing an on site assessment.

Forensic Cleaning Specialists offers two ways to begin , an on-site assessment, or an initial review based on photos.

Photos can give a general understanding, but they are limited to what is visible.

An on site assessment allows us to properly evaluate the environment, identify risks, and determine how far contamination has spread.

It’s similar to visiting a dentist. A visual check can show what’s on the surface, but an X-ray reveals what’s happening underneath and how far it goes.

That is why we always recommend attending the property in person.

It ensures the scope is accurate and the work is carried out safely and correctly from the start.

Over the past 8 years, we’ve worked closely with elderly clients and their families, helping maintain safe living environments.

Some clients fall into what we call “1 of 5”, those more vulnerable to environmental contamination. This includes elderly individuals, people who are immunocompromised, pregnant, young children, and those with existing health conditions.

We also understand that many elderly clients like things a particular way. They want their home to feel familiar, and they often want items returned exactly where they belong.

The photos shown are from a property where an elderly client had experienced multiple medical episodes, with contamination present throughout the home.

In situations like this, bacteria such as E. coli and Salmonella can spread through cross-contamination across surfaces and food areas, increasing the risk of illness.

For elderly clients, that risk is significantly higher.

In this property, all soft furnishings were removed, including carpets and bedding, to eliminate contamination at the source. This was followed by structured remediation cleaning procedures to return the environment to a safe condition.

For us, the priority is making the home safe again for the person living in it.

In a unit complex, hoarding is more common than most people realise.

In 20 units, there is likely one.
In 50 units, one or two.
In 100 units, two to five.

Most people around it would have no idea.

We recently attended a unit where someone had been living without running water, without a functioning toilet, without a working shower, and without a safe way to live.

Over four tonnes was removed in a single day.

This is not just about what is visible within the property. Hoarding disorder is a recognised mental health condition, and situations like this often develop over time.

If this feels familiar, whether it’s your own situation or someone close to you, it doesn’t have to stay this way.

The first step doesn’t have to be overwhelming. It can start with a conversation.

Approached properly, with care and respect, there is a way forward.

If things have built up at home and it’s starting to feel like too much, it’s okay to take it one step at a time.

We’ll come out, have a conversation with you, and understand what you’d like help with.

Everything is done at your pace. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is done without your say.

If you’re in a unit, house or concerned about neighbours, we handle everything quietly and respectfully.

Whether it’s one bag or something more, we’ll organise what’s needed and take care of it properly.

No judgment. Just support when you’re ready.

Most people think if a property looks clean, it’s safe.

In cases like this, that assumption is wrong.

This kitchen forms part of a property that required full forensic remediation after, unfortunately, an unattended death elsewhere in the home.

When a death occurs, contamination is not always contained to one area. It can extend beyond what is immediately visible, which is why the entire property must be assessed and treated accordingly.

For property managers and owners, this comes down to ensuring the space is safe and that any risk of cross contamination has been properly addressed.

That is what has been completed here.

Safe. Compliant. Passed.

FACT: Industry testing suggests up to 1 in 10 homes in NSW may have contamination left behind from ice (methamphetamine) use.

Most people think they’d be able to tell.

But you can’t.

There’s no public record.
No label on the property.
Nothing during a standard inspection that gives it away.

Homes can look completely normal, freshly painted or recently cleaned.

That’s because the residue left behind from ice (methamphetamine) use is invisible and can settle onto surfaces and absorb into materials like walls.

That’s why testing is done, to confirm whether anything is still present and if it sits within safe levels for living.

If levels are elevated, remediation can be carried out
If levels are within range, generally considered safe for normal use

Here is a photo of Gabby, conducting a rapid test.

Most people look at a room like this and think it just needs a cleaner.

But environments like this can contain biological contamination, bacteria, and other hazards that aren’t always visible to the eye.

That’s why forensic cleaners work in full protective equipment, and follow strict remediation procedures, to safely restore the space and reduce the health risks for anyone who has to enter it again.

It’s not about making a place “look clean.”

It’s about making it safe again.

See these specks on the wall?

They’re left behind by flies. 🪰

But flies don’t just land on walls. They land on rubbish, drains, waste and sometimes contaminated environments.

Then they move through a property, leaving these specks behind as they travel.

In our industry flies are called vectors, insects that can move contamination from one place to another.

So whatever they land on… they can carry elsewhere.

Those specks may contain pathogens picked up along the way, including:

🦠 Campylobacter (gastrointestinal infection)
🦠 Shigella (intestinal infection)
🦠 Streptococcus (bacteria that can infect skin and wounds)

That’s why situations like this require a certified forensic biohazard cleaner. A specialist trained to safely remediate contaminated environments.☣️

Emergency forensic cleaning is something most people never think about, until the day they need it.💜

One of the worst things someone can hear after a traumatic event is, “Sorry, our next availability is in two weeks.” A client told us that recently, and it stuck with us.

Many people are surprised to learn that after a tragic event, the police🚨 do not arrange the cleaning of the property. Their role is to investigate what happened. Once they leave the scene, the responsibility for the property is often left with the homeowner, tenant, or family.

That is usually the moment forensic cleaning specialists are contacted. 📞

Situations like this can involve genuine health risks⚠️. Biological contamination doesn’t always remain on the surface, it can affect flooring, carpets, walls, and other areas throughout the property.

☣️Forensic cleaning is an emergency service. When situations like this occur, professional help shouldn’t be weeks away, it should be hours.

That’s why we operate as a 24/7 response service, so when people reach out in moments like this, support is there when it’s needed most.❤️‍🩹

Not every clean is just about making a bathroom look nice again. Sometimes it’s about restoring a space after someone has been going through a very difficult time.😔🌻

When waste is present in a property, it can attract flies and other pests. Flies move from surface to surface throughout the home🏠, which can spread contamination onto walls, fixtures, and other areas. This process is called cross contamination, which is why situations like this require forensic cleaning.☣️

We approach these homes with compassion, respect, and zero judgement. Our job isn’t just to clean a space, it’s to help someone take the first step toward getting their home back to a safe and comfortable place.

If you or someone you know needs help, please know you’re not alone. We’re always here to support.💜

This Is Not Just Dust🧐

These are our disposable pre filters after working inside a squalor condition home.

This is only the outer pre filter that sits over our ABEK1 gas and particle filter system.

Everything you see trapped here would otherwise be entering the respiratory system.🫣

In environments like this, dust can contain:

• Built-up skin cells and dander
• Dust mites and their waste
• Mould spores
• Bacteria from decomposing food
• Rodent urine and droppings breaking down into fine particles
• Cockroach droppings and body fragments
• Dried faecal matter
• Insect debris
• Endotoxins (bacterial toxins released as waste dries and breaks down)
• Bioaerosols (microscopic biological particles suspended in the air)

Most of this isn’t visible.

When clutter is moved or waste is disturbed, these particles become airborne immediately.

That staining on the filter isn’t “dirt.”
It’s contamination that didn’t reach our lungs.🫁

Anyone clearing a property in this condition should be wearing a properly fitted respirator. Most of the risk is in the air.
