Sometimes life gives you a real curve ball. Like today. All the way down at Karnup working. Had offloaded the bobcat and got a load of roadbase from the pit. Came back to the site and tip-off the roadbase. I then proceeded to cart and spread it along the track. Three hours later, I finish and go to unlock the truck. Only to find, to my horror, I’ve lost the key. Bare in mind. I’m an hour and a half away from home. And can’t remember if I even had a spare for it. It had fallen out of my pocket when I got the key out for the bobcat and was now buried somewhere along a 1km stretch of track. This is where the fun really begins. I Google and start ringing vehicle locksmiths near by. I had 8 that could help me in the morning. Unfortunately, the area where I was, it probably would have been burnt to the ground over night. I was recommended Altitude Locksmiths, and they didn’t disappoint. Was on site in 40 minutes, had the door open in 2, I kid you not, was able to work out the manufacturer code for the key, and had two new ones cut in no time. His cutting machine was linked to a laptop that had the manufacturers specifications on it. So brand new. Awesome. And I was happy as. And very reasonably priced too.
