Here we have the before and after photos of this VE Calais.
With the far north Queensland wetseason and being stored in the open it had taken its toll on the outside and then with rain water finding its way into the vehicle also the carpet had seen better days.

So starting off with removing the seats and lifting the carpet to allow it to dry and air out, then a good shampooing to bring it up clean and fresh.

Outside starting of with a wash, clay treatment, cut and polish, then finally a wax to bring it up to a nice finish.

Inside cleaning all the trim and seats down, then treating them. Then clean all the glass.

Added head light clean also and the vehicle has come up great.

I would like to show you why general maintenance and correct maintenance is very important to keep your vehicle in good working order.

The bottom is a fuel filter that has done 20,000km in my own personal vehicle.
For a diesel 2008 Holden Colorado it is recommended that it gets changed ever 20,000km and you can see why.

Things like fuel filters are not something you can inspect like your Air filter or Belts so its always a good idea to keep update with the manufacturers recommendations.

Here at Red's Automotive Care we have you covered, with fitting your own or supplying the products.

Prices vary due to cost of parts and oils needed, so please get in touch for a quote.

At time of inspection this customer also had a worn drive belt and choose to get a new one fitted at same time.
With information also given on other items that need to be replaced and a quote given on the other work that needs to be carried out in the future at their own convenience.

(Note this is not a log book service, so may not suit your needs. )

Did you know that Red's Automotive Care also dose basic mechanical work and installation of your own parts?

On that note, do you know what condition your air filter is in?
The one on the left is an old, well used filte. The one on the right is a nice clean new one.

A over used air filter can lead to poor fuel consumption and cause the engine to run rough.

How long a filter last, will always come down to the conditions the vehicle is being used in.
