Over the past few weeks we’ve been a little quieter than usual on social media, and we wanted to take a moment to explain why.

Unfortunately, we’ve recently experienced the tragic loss of a close family member, while also dealing with a significant health scare. It’s been a challenging period both personally and professionally, and we sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding and support during this time.

As many of you know, I’ve always poured everything I have into EMAC Detailing. For years that meant working 7 days a week, often 17+ hour days, to make sure every vehicle left our studio to the highest standard possible. While I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built, it became clear that this pace simply isn’t sustainable if I want to protect my health and keep the doors open for many years to come.

Because of that, there are going to be a few changes moving forward.

EMAC Detailing is now back in the studio full-time, operating Monday to Friday. While this may mean slightly longer wait times than some of you have been used to, it allows us to continue delivering the quality we’re known for without compromising our health or the future of the business.

I genuinely apologise to anyone who has been waiting for a booking or a reply. Thank you for sticking with us it means more than you know.

The good news is we’re back doing what we love, and we’re excited to welcome everyone through the doors again.

We currently have availability throughout August for everything from our Enhancement Details right through to our legendary Platinum Packages, designed to completely transform your vehicle.

There’s something special about having an iconic classic roll through the studio, and this beautiful old Camaro was no exception.

It came in for one of our pre-sale detail packages, with the goal of presenting it at its absolute best. We carefully refined the paintwork to bring back depth, clarity and gloss, removing years of light imperfections and giving it the finish it deserves. Every surface was meticulously cleaned and dialled in to ensure the car was ready for its next chapter.

This classic Datsun 1200 Ute recently rolled into the workshop for what we like to call a restoration-based detail.

Having remained with the same owner for over 40 years, this little Datsun has plenty of stories to tell and holds a lot of sentimental value. The goal wasn’t to create a show car overnight, but rather to carefully bring some life back into a well loved classic while preserving its character and originality.

A lot of time was spent focusing on the finer details that often get overlooked. Multiple components were removed, restored and refinished including various screws, nuts, the shifter, handbrake assembly and seat trims to freshen up areas that had shown their age over the decades.

The wheel arches were thoroughly cleaned, re-blacked and sealed to restore a factory fresh appearance, while the interior received a careful rejuvenation. Working with the original carpets presented its challenges, but we achieved the best possible result while maintaining the vehicle’s authenticity.

The paintwork underwent a comprehensive multi-stage correction process, including targeted wet sanding to reduce defects and improve overall clarity. Once the maximum safe level of correction was achieved, the paint was protected with our premium Kraken Graphene Ti coating, adding gloss, protection and making future maintenance significantly easier.

It’s always rewarding being trusted with vehicles that have been part of a family for generations. Seeing this Datsun regain some of its former glory while retaining the character it’s built over 40+ years made this one a particularly special project.

Another restoration journey officially underway

This VE Maloo came in for a major paint correction inspection to determine what could be salvaged and what areas would require repainting as the owners finally decided it was time to begin bringing their pride and joy back to life after years of hard work as a daily driver and work ute.

On inspection, the paintwork presented with some very questionable defects including multiple areas that had previously been wizzed/sanded but never properly refined or buffed back out, leaving behind heavy marring, haze, uneven finishes and deep defects throughout the vehicle.

Our goal with this stage was to safely assess the condition of the paint, maximise what could be corrected, and create a proper foundation for the restoration moving forward rather than simply masking the issues.

After extensive testing and correction work, we were able to recover a surprising amount of gloss and clarity from the factory paint while also identifying the sections that will need repainting to bring the vehicle back to the standard it deserves.

Restorations like these take patience, experience and the right approach. We’re looking forward to continuing this build and bringing this Maloo back to its former glory!
