🚫 SAY NO TO THE SHOVEL! 🪏

SNAKES ARE PROTECTED. PLEASE DON'T KILL THEM!

Seeing a snake in your backyard, garden or around your home can be frightening.

We completely understand that not everyone is comfortable sharing their space with a snake.

But please, put down the shovel!
Snakes are an important part of our ecosystem.

They help keep rodent populations under control and play an essential role in maintaining the balance of our natural environment.

Did you know? In Victoria, native snakes are protected under the Wildlife Act 1975. It is illegal to deliberately kill, injure or harm protected snakes without lawful authority.

Fear is never a reason to take a life.
There is a safer option!

As professional snake catchers, we are here to help. We can safely attend, identify the snake where possible, and relocate it in accordance with wildlife regulations.

If you encounter a snake:
Keep your distance.
Bring children and pets inside.
Do not attempt to touch, catch or kill it.
Keep an eye on it from a safe distance if possible.
Give us a call, and let us take care of it.

You don't have to love snakes, but you can respect them.

Let's replace fear with education, cruelty with compassion, and shovels with phone calls!

Update on the carpet python 🐍

The carpet python has now received a veterinary assessment, thanks to our good friends at Rhodes Veterinary Clinic.

The snake is now awaiting its journey to Melbourne, where it will be given the opportunity to be adopted into a suitable home.

Unfortunately, it was discovered that the snake had been kept illegally by an unlicensed individual.

We’re pleased that this beautiful animal is now on the path to a much brighter future, with the right care and the chance of a safe, appropriate home.

If you can help out, give me a call on 0498 063 229.

Transporter needed!!

If anyone is travelling from Colac, through Geelong and up to Melbourne I need your help!

I have a carpet python in Colac and a bearded dragon in Geelong that I need to get to me for rehoming. If it can get to me in Frankston that would be perfect but if we can get them to somewhere in Melbourne I can organise a pick up as well.

If you can help shoot me a message or email me at [email protected] and I can get things organised.

Thanks,
Shane

Once we arrived, we carefully secured the snake and relocated it to a more suitable natural habitat, away from people and residential areas.

A great outcome, with the snake safely relocated and everyone kept out of harm’s way!
