This week is all about superannuation and keeping up with your obligations when you have employees.
📣 PAYDAY SUPER IS HERE!
Australian business owners, here's what you need to know.
From 1 July 2026, the way employers pay super changed.
Here's the simple version:
💰 Before: Employers generally had to pay super quarterly.
💰 Now: Super must generally be paid each payday, alongside wages.
⏰ The deadline: Contributions generally need to reach employees' super funds within 7 business days of payday.
📊 The super guarantee rate: 12% for most employees.
What does this mean for your business?
✔️ More frequent super payments
✔️ Changes to payroll routines and cash flow
✔️ A need to check that payments are processed correctly and on time
The good news? With the right systems and processes, you can make the transition much smoother.
Not sure whether your payroll is set up correctly? It's worth checking!
