Range time is always a good idea, shooting is a skill you gotta keep up. If you don't practice, you'll get rusty. Spending time behind your rifle will help hone your shot process and get you ready for your next night out.

What's rifle do you guys take to the range most often?
I find my .17hmr gets the nod most times as its easy to shoot and doesn't cot me $100 each time time take it out.

Lovely little freezer filler from a nearby state forest over the weekend.
I also saw about 5 foxes while travellingthrough the forest, but deer was on the menu to stock up the freezer.

With work and family commitments, I was only able to get out at the tail end of the rut. I heard one fallow croaking in a nearby gully, but that was it.

This fox was about 100m from where I was, but it was right at Golden Hour, so as hard as it was, I let him walk. I watched him for a solid 15 minutes as he went about his business.

Follow up to my post yesterday is you guessed a feather tailed glider you would be correct.

Feathertail gliders also known as the pygmy gliding possum or pygmy glider is a tiny marsupial native to eastern Australia and is the world’s smallest gliding mammal an adult can weigh up to 13g.

Its populations are heavily impacted by introduced predators such as foxes and cats, which have decimated some local groups. Native predators include owls, kookaburras, currawongs, snakes, monitor lizards (goannas), and small carnivorous marsupials like the agile antechinus.
