This week's Spider of the Week is the Redback. 🕷️

How to spot one: shiny black body with a red or orange stripe along the top of the abdomen, and a red hourglass mark underneath on females.

Where they hide: letterboxes, under garden furniture, around pot plants, sheds and other cluttered, sheltered spots.

Good to know: Redbacks are venomous, and a bite (usually from a female) should always be taken seriously. If you're bitten, seek medical attention promptly.

One of the most common questions we get at Green Pesty is, “How long will I need to be out of the house?”

⏱️ Here’s what to expect:
✅ You'll need to be out of the building while the technician applies the treatment.
✅ Application typically takes around 30–45 minutes, depending on the size of your property.
✅ You can generally return about an hour after the treatment is finished drying.

Your technician will let you know when it's appropriate to re-enter, so you can plan your day with confidence.
