I don’t mind working Saturdays when it’s jobs like this. To be fair it was for a very good mate, who only asked if I wanted to go with him to his family property way out in the wild hills, not clean his windows.

Buuuut, they’re brand spankers installed over a year ago that hadn’t been cleaned and it’s one of the best views you’ll find anywhere in the world so I couldn’t help myself.

I’m down in Lakes Entrance today and tomorrow at one of the luxurious, iconic hotels getting their glass ready for the influx of guests as we head in to the peak holiday season.

Let’s go!

Today I’m down at 5knots 5 Star Luxury Accommodation in Metung getting the windows ready for the beginning of the spring tourist season. I got this bad boy 36” Sorbo squeegee yesterday and giving it its first run. So far so good!

This is the first of a number of premium accommodation businesses I have scheduled over the coming months across Lakes Entrance and Metung. There’s definitely worse work days you can have.

Job of the week transforming dusty, sticker and saw dust covered new windows in to magic portals to the world outside

Window cleaning season is live and in effect! It’s not even work when you love what you do and I sure do love cleaning glass.

In this little collection of pics is, I think the best window picture I’ve taken yet. The only effects applied to it is an obsession level eye for detail, the only filter is professional equipment and hard work.

Yet another in my growing list of jobs completed in Paynesville aka Panes-ville. These lovely customers added a stunning alfresco area to their already beautiful home.

Post-construction window cleaning is slow, meticulous work ensuring fabrication debris is clinically removed, paint flecks get gone along with the dust and all whilst keeping the frames lubricated with soapy water to ensure no scratching but man it’s satisfying at completion. Even better when the customers message you a few days later to reiterate their appreciation and how happy they are with the effort and end result.

Happy Friday y’all.

If you haven’t been down to Butter Dayz yet then you’re absolutely ripping yourself off.

My personal favourite is the bueno iced coffee (I even licked the ice cubes clean it was that good!).

It’s also named after an album and song (posthumously released) by one of my favourite artists of all time.

My shout for a bueno iced coffee (or flavour of your choice) for the first person to;

-React to this post, follow Hawk Eye Window & Gutter Cleaning and the Butter Dayz pages

-Comment with the album/song name and artist

P.S if you cheat using Google, AI or anything else just know that someone somewhere is very disappointed in you.

Waterview Bakery Paynesville is another local business I’m lucky enough to have on my roster of routine window cleaning.

Not only is Jo a legend of a person, it’s evident how highly rated her food and coffee is based on the fact that every customer has a smile on their dial when they walk in. When I’m cleaning the external windows most say g’day and stop for a quick yarn too.

Don’t let the fact it’s called a bakery fool you either as, they serve up plenty of tucker not commonly associated with a bakery. Case in point, today I got a lamb souvlaki that was just as good, if not better than you’ll find at other places who are serving similar.

To top it off, on early starts (like I had a fortnight ago there) being right on the water, I’m treated to scenery in the second pic - which has absolutely zero filter or editing on it.

If you’re a business owner, manager or employee advocating for your shopfront, office, or any other building with windows to be shown to the public in all its glory then hit me up! (I do gutter, solar panel, pressure cleaning and soft washing too)

5ive Canarys is definitely a favourite of my routine, regular customers. Not just because the windows are a treat to work on, or they serve some of, if not the best food in Gippsland, OR that sometimes when I'm there Imrahn has Tupac playing but it's a joy seeing a family run business and the love and dedication these guys have for what they do.

I highly recommend getting in there when you can - my personal favourite is the Straight Outta Seoul Burger but you can't go wrong with anything from there.

If you value your shopfront or office being at peak presentation and the message that sends your customers and the public, I have a little bit of availability left to accommodate routine, regular window cleaning and would love to hear from you.

Unless you've been camping on Mars, you'll have noticed everything now costs an arm, two legs and a thumb.

Your gutters and windows didn't get the memo either and won't wait for the finance fairies to wave their wands and sort it out.

There’s definitely worse places to be and worse work to be doing on a sunny Friday morning.

Even better to have my good mate Zulu Flow Zone Mobile Detailing onboard for this new build, builders clean window job.

It’s slower going than usual on these jobs removing cement, plaster, manufacturing debris and the rest from brand new windows but also extremely satisfying watching the beautiful brand new panes turn from part of a construction site to a soon to be new home.
