Make an Impact Anglesea

Make an Impact Anglesea At Greening Australia we do much more than simply plant trees. We protect our biodiversity and natural habitats which are being threatened by climate change.

We understand that this is such a all-encompassing challenge that everyone needs to work together to tackle it. Through our community driven program 'Make an Impact', we are helping communities come up with locally driven solutions to solve this global issue. Make an Impact

Make an Impact was a program initially developed by Alcoa of Australia in partnership with Greening Australia that aimed to

change the way people think and act in regards to climate change and sustainability. The first phase of the program undertaken with Alcoa employees in 2006 entailed a web based energy use calculator, online information, sustainability workshops and a practical toolkit with exercises for in-home measurement. Since the program began, more than 1400 Alcoa employees in Australia have taken part. In 2011 the program will enter the second phase which aims to find ways to engage the wider community in sustainable living and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
