Don’t Count Your Pigeons Before End of the Job

WAREHOUSE PIGEON CONTROL

Conducted a warehouse shooting job as pigeons were creating a mess on equipment and walkway.Start of the job sighted 5-6 feral pigeons. In the space of 45 minutes 11 birds eradicated ! A great result for the client in a short amount of time!
Looking at the mess made I thought there may have been more birds!

Most Rewarding Job So Far!
I was contacted by a Child Care Centre that had several pigeons roosting on top of the air-conditioner units. With the combination of rain and their droppings, the smell was filtering through into the rooms of the centre! You could imagine how this potentially could have affected the children and staff in the rooms.
Kudos to the management of this centre as they acted quickly and I was able to eradicate 7 pigeons. I happily stayed longer than normal just to make sure none returned. A follow up phone call 2 weeks later and no other pigeons sighted. GREAT RESULT! 😊☺️

Unwanted Alarm Systems!
Client has been persisting with pigeons arriving on the house roof every morning at approximately 6.00 am. The noise created by the pigeons was non stop and was enough to wake the client up constantly
A plan was put in place and setting up in position waiting for the pigeons to arrive in the morning enabled me to eradicate 5 birds and give the homeowner a well deserved break
As you can see from my photos safety protocol's are always followed regardless of time or place

RESIDENTIAL JOB - MAINTENANCE TIP .. Checking the image circled it would appear that there are 2 birds under the Solar Panels however looking through my binoculars and rifle scope I could see that there was a pigeon in the left hand corner under the Solar Panels.( not visible in this pic ) It was not visible to the naked eye and I informed the home owner to get his Solar Panel Mesh Guard checked and any holes repaired. It was found to have deteriorated in places .
I would encourage anyone that has Solar Panels to have protective mesh installed around the panels and to also do a maintenance check when you get your panels cleaned !

Another drive - thru bottle shop Job! Anyone would think that pigeons have a drinking problem. This is the fifth job I have done eradicating pigeons from drive thru - bottle shops and by far the messiest and smelliest. The netting above the cool rooms prevented any birds from outside flying in and nesting, however they were entering inside the shop from an outside downpipe and then into the ceiling space above the cool rooms. See following pics and video at the end. It was a challenging shoot as I had to get up on top of the cool rooms and with a clearance space of 1 metre with many obstacles in the way to see the birds and where they were hiding was frustrating but by the end of the job 5 birds were removed from this location and 2 outside on the roof. As I have stated in previous posts it all starts with 2 birds to get to this kind of problem!

BEFORE AND AFTER PIGEON EARDICATION JOB
Repeat client - another drive-thru bottle shop with 7 feral pigeons making their home inside the shop. The mess created is evident as pictured where my DANGER sign is placed on first pic. All 7 pigeons eradicated and removed, follow up call to client 3 weeks later reported no pigeons on site

Hi All

Following on from my last post and photos showing the nest with the 3 eggs in it. I get asked the following question quite a lot. I only see 2 pigeons at a time so surely there is nothing to worry about? Well those 2 pigeons are probably a married couple so to speak as pigeons are monogamous and mate for life. They form strong bonds with pairs staying together for many years. They breed ALL YEAR ROUND and both parents share in the nesting duties, making them efficient at raising multiple broods per year.
Feral pigeons are PROLIFIC BREEDERS often producing 2 - 6 broods per year. Each brood has 2 squabs or baby pigeons. They tend to stay in one area and do not migrate allowing pairs to stay together continuously
KEY PIGEON FACTS
+Clutch Size - generally 2 eggs
+Incubation - 17 - 19 days
+Fledging - squabs leave the nest in 30 days
+Breeding Frequency - they can breed all year round, resulting in
up to 12+new pigeons per year
+Guess what those 12 new pigeons are going to be doing after they reach sexual maturity at 6-7 months of age ?
